Has anyone been in contact with Edd lately on how he's progressing?

Thats the first time I noticed it was gone. Haven't been on there in awhile.

last two day's i checked , it look like they might be working on it but today my screen sais , this site dont exists

I think this may be the end of the SWF - it happened before and Edd had to start again. His interest has dropped off a lot since then and he may not think it worth the hassle

It will be a shame to loose some of the info from the site.

Plus the community, which have found to be very warm and welcoming.

Would be a shame to lose all teh information on SWF, the guys are more than welcome here (as well).

It is a shame that so much resource looks like its going to be lost i was speaking to Shawn in Chat yesterday and he was really glad he had copied over his POTF Coin Reference Thread from SWF to TIG.

I had read Edd's messages that he put up prior to the site going down it seems he had been shouldering all the costs himself as he had tried to place google Ad's on the site to create some additional revenue. I know that he sold up / cashed out over a year ago and didn't post often so i wouldn't image him wanting to pump his cash into the site indefinably especially as he seemed to have no desire to start collecting again.

From his post is seems that the hosting company had pulled plug without giving him enough warning to retrieve vital files.

To echo what Tim said all vintage collectors are welcome here and of course RS so if anyone is in contact with any lads from SWF who don't know about this site feel free to drop them an invite and they'll all receive a warm welcome

so many contacts lost , i hope this will not be the end of swfuk , and that it will return

Sad to see the site gone... I have checked several times but the last couple of days don't show much hope of a return.

While TIG takes up more of my time now and I was visiting SWF less and less it is still sad to see all that information lost that was posted over the years, there were some very informative posts there and lots of fun memories.

Perhaps Edd will solve the issue but as has been said already, his interest with SW is not what it once was and I do believe this could well be the end for SWF.

I know a similar thing happened on the original SWF and all the information was lost, if its happened a second time I can't see many people going back to start all over again.

Dammit, I miss my piss yellow saber.
