I reckon Stephane (meccano to trilogo book) is your man
to speak to Andy - do you have a contact for him?

Well I am not sure there is a definitive list for Meccano ROTJ miscards but there are a few known ones and even a few common ones also.

I haven't seen this particular combination on a trilogo either so I assume its reasonably "rare" and would be of interest to either focus collectors or miscard collectors/French collectors.

May I ask what you paid for it? Also the condition of the commonly cracked miscard bubble ?

Cheers for the replies guys, i did send a PM to stephane but not had a reply as yet.

I paid £200 which is quite high, however there are issues with it which wernt described.

The bubble has a slight lift on the bottom only a few mm and a rised part of the bubble on the right, its not cracked in any way.

It also has some staple marks on the card (3 to be precise)

But other than that its really nice.

I think curiosity may have killed the cat on this one but ive never seen a rotj IG88 meccano especially a miscard

Cheers

Andy

Well, it wasn't the bargain of the century but its a nice piece regardless, hard to price items that may be one off flukes, they are interesting and quirky to us all but not many would dig deep for one!

I reckon you probably paid about right for it, its a Meccano card which is rare in itself , the actual miscarded figure isn't a great one but together it kind of works - it looks pretty displayable also.
