Thanks for the comments lads, love the At-At Driver!

Fett is finished and I've had a few outings with him...

Hiya lads,

I've been quiet on the vintage front recently as I have started building a few costumes which is taking time and funds.

It all started years ago when I bought a Stromtrooper helmet, my missus put her foot down and said 'no way was I buying a bloody stormtrooper outfit, toys are bad enough!'

Then I had the opportunity to purchase a full set of armour with boots from a friend on these boards some months ago. This opened a whole new world of forums - UKgarrison.co.uk, dentedhelmet.com, bikerscout.net and whitearmour.net.

These guys take the building of armour and costuming very seriously but still offer great advice and there is a real good community spirit, much like what we have here.

This then led me onto buying a beautiful Tusken helmet which I will finish with a full costume later in the year....

Burnsy, I have enjoyed viewing your trooping pictures as Stormtrooper and Boba Fett - ROTJ. I especially like your spot on Boba Fett, which brings me to this question, are you already a member of the 501st UK Garrison? If you are cleared, what is your 501st Legion TK-ID? Cool

I can see that you're also involved with Tusken Raider prop and costuming. Splendid, here is a picture of me appearing as an ANH-Male Tusken Raider DZ-2870 [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

and another recent picture as the weathered Sandtrooper chilling out 2 fellow clean Stormtroopers Stormie Smiley TK-8249 (L) and TK-6033 (R) during 31 December 2010, while awaiting the New Year's count down...

Burnsy, good to know that there is another 501st Legion member here at TIG forum. Cool Are there any other fellow 501st Legion members onboard? Smile From your profile, I can see that you only have TK-4725, your BH is not cleared by your GML as yet?

Glad to hear that you like my Tusken Raider and Sandtrooper suits, which both are 501st Legion approved. Cool

Do I do trooping much? That depends on my real availability on the proposed trooping date(s) and how much advanced notice I have been given. My most recent trooping was on New Year's Day 2011, a direct continuation from my New Year's Eve trooping at a fancy beach resort. Smile

As a matter of fact my Tusken Raider is due for an upgrade this year after I have received the new head sculpt from Studio Creations. Same thing goes for my bandoliers and mace end of my Gaderrffii Stick. My goal is to make my upgraded Tusken Raider to be a close match to URoRRuR'R'R the Tusken Raider (played by the late Peter Diamond) who attacked Luke and prominently featured on the Vintage Star Wars Sandpeople card pictures.

My other immediate prop projects is my Sandtrooper Desert Backpack, modelled after the "Move Along" Sandtrooper Officer from the Mos Eisley check point scene. It is in WIP stage at this moment and I will have it done within this year itself. Likewise for my DL-44 Blaster (The Empire Strikes Back) modification project.

I managed to get to troop at the official Blu Ray release this week as Fett.

We were on the blue carpet as the celebs came in and we made the BBC news.
