PostSubject: Need help on display idea-   Thu Aug 26, 2010 1:16 pm

I have a small window cabinet for the most important things, its a bit overrun at the top with carded figures (only holds about 4 really )

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] border="0" alt="" />

The above is how I had them, it looked ok but not all of each card was displayed (had to overlap)

Now I can put 2 on the side and have 2 in the middle , it also frees up space in the front of the shelf for something else but the side figures are hard to see unless you open the door! lol

I think I like the overlapping display the most but maybe there is a combination I haven't tried yet, I know its hard to ask for help on this when you guys don't know the size of the cabinet but maybe someone has a good idea!

I dunno about good ideas-
1) line the back of the cabinet with a mirror, have the MOCs in pairs back to back on a 45 degree angle. 6 will fit on a shelf Suspect
2) get another cabinet for your non- MOCs

That's a smart idea AJ! There is a light at the back of the top shelf, wonder if I can bodge it and remove it and see about getting some mirror back there...

Another question -

Do you think crowded cabinets work or do you like space?

Here's a pic of what I did on mine before I had to move everything because of the water.

It's in no way perfect, but it allowed to open the display up a bit and "highlight" at least one MOC. My thought process on this was to allow for one "highlight" MOC that I could mess around with (mostly to give me something to tinker with every so often Wink) and to allow for other MOC's to be place behind it.

I'm sure I'll change it up when I put the display back together. Very Happy

I thought you didn't have a choice with more space. I think everyone has space issues eventually, even those with dedicated SW rooms still have things in boxes. I'm pretty sure some could have a ranch and still run out of room Wink
