| One thing you can look for to see if you have a hidden gem/variant. Check the back of their legs... there will usually be a date and or a COO stamp (country of origin). A HK or Hong Kong is usually the more common COO. Taiwan, China, or Macau are rarer COO. If the COO looks like its been removed (scar) or a blank raised bar over it (covered up)... those are also usually a rarer figure!!! | Heres the list I used when I was collecting variants. I see Henrik updated it without the rarity guide. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Thanks everyone. To take the pics I had to take all my figures out of there plastic wrappers. Then I put them back. O well I think I will have them back out again and see what the COO and ages are etc. I know the chewy I have is a lili ledy. But thats the only one I have. I need the lili ledy weapon if any has it? LOL coachk28. The Yakface and the DT Luke And Armanaman are my best figures hence why I had them graded. I dont plan on getting all my figures garded just the ones I really like. Wish I had some more and I would sell you them The Darth Vader that doesnt have a cloak has just a raised bar on the back of its leg. Not sure if thats significant or not. I will have a look and post back again later |

| You've got a very good start Andy. I look forward to seeing your collection evolve. We all start somewhere. Here is a picture of the very beginnings of my collection. | As Shawn said Andy you have a great start! Some of those figures like the Jawa, Snowtrooper, Tie Fighter Pilot and many more look in very good condition! Are any from your childhood? One day in a year or 2 if you stick around you'll go back to that picture and be amazed at just how far your collection and knowledge of the hobby have evolved buddy |

| Thanks everyone. Most of the figures are from my childhood. Unfortunatly the ones you mentioned like the Jawa etc arnt. What I started to do was buy figures that where described as C9 and complete. So I made sure the weapons where real and not repros and thats why they are in really nice condition. Most of my figures I destroyed the capes and weapons as you do as a young boy so I have been paying stupid prices off ebay trying to get weapons to finish of the good condition figures and the not so good I have been buying a good condition one with weapons and giving my old toys to my son to play/chew with He loves them. He constantly has his eye on my DT luke and Yak face. He climbs up my chair and gets them sometimes and when I screem no. Just looks at me and decides to shake them like a rattle |

| Looks like a great start to a variant collection! And you can't replace the childhood figures! You've got to keep/display those no matter what! |

| Thanks Chris I do try and keep my child hood toys but its harder to find the weapons to complete them than it is to buy an already complete figure. My son gets to play with some of my old figures so at least they dont go to waste. |

| Thanks Carlos. Its developed into a nice cabinet now and im hunting figures to try and complete my loose set. Still 53 to go!
I cant believe I have so many figures that survived. I even have some figures with a weapon (Only 1 or 2 tho). |
