PostSubject: My IG-88 focus and my SW collection in general Update Dec. 11 2011   Tue 8 Feb 2011 - 1:08

Hey fellas. I was fixing up my display and decided to snap a new set of pics of the IGGY display.

Here's what the focus looked like at the beginning of the year.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

It's expanded a little since then. I thought I got a better pic of the Target Exclusive Imperial Forces three pack in the back but guess I erased it by mistake. The two IGGYs to the left are the start of my "IGGY Army". I love pics other members post of Stormtrooper armies so I'm going to build an IG-88 army. 347 IGs. So 344 to go. There's one coming in the mail. The naked Luke in the back is a work in progress. My wife bought it a couple years ago for me for Christmas. I just need his belt, jacket and grappeling hook to make him complete.

POTJ 15" IG from John. Thanks buddy. The Mini-Mugg makes me laugh.

I think this Force Unleashed statue is badass.

Custom vintage IG to look like he appeared in the Droids cartoon. Thanks for this one Hoser. I love the Kubrick IG. Theres a couple of MOC ones I have to track down this year. The IG figure on the right is from the comic pack with Boba.

One of my favorite oddball IG items. A suncatcher. I want to get another and actually make it up.

A group shot of some of the IGGYs. The Tri Logo is a bad reseal. But it displays nicely. If it were totally real and untouched I might have taken a better shot of it. The baggie is a favorite. The armless bootleg makes me smile all the time when I see it in the case.

And finally the biggest piece of the year. A POTJ IG first shot. I can't get him to stand stratght no matter how many times i do the hot water thing to him. Stubborn old droid. But he's awesome.

And next we have my regular vintage SW collection with a little modern and some other stuff mixed in.

I never realized how much dust was on the Leia figure till I loaded this pic. WOW!!

A mixture of SW and Superpowers and some others.

The Joker figures and the two heads are first shots.

A bunch of childhood toys and others I've picked up over the years. The Energized Spiderman is a recent pickup. Before anyone has any smart comments about the ceramic dogs, I'll tell you about them. They were a gift from my grandmother when I was 4 or 5 years old. I always wanted to play with them when we went to visit. But my mom would throw a fit when I did. So one day a package came in the mail and inside were my three dogs. Along with a letter saying they were mine now and I could play with them whenever I wanted. They get a special place in any collection I have.

that's a neat little side focus, IG-88 is definitely a popular and enduring character. Nice mix of vintage and modern from that cool Trilogo moc to that IG Lancer Droid who looks ace!

Also noticed a couple of SW Mr Potato heads too - lol these are great fun I have the 'Artoo Potatoo with Princess Tater' one Smile

Yeah I love the SW Potato Heads. I just have Darth Tater and Spudtrooper right now. I want the whole set someday. They are one of those toys that make me LOL when I look at them. Great fun. I have Spiderspud and Optomash Prime too. I have a friend who collects anything Potato Head.

Any plans of adding the 1985 Power Of The Force proof card of IG-88 to your collection? Smile

Ganja- The Tri is my favorite piece at the moment. I got it for a fair price too. It's not minty. The bubble has some lifting but he's still pretty cool. He also has the wrong long rifle with him. It's the Snowtrooper rifle. I'll also be taking fresh pics of the whole case soonly. I cleaned out a bunch of the modern stuff so want to update my old limelight on RS and put a new one here.

CP- I'm going to be looking for any and all IG proofs in the future. I'm going to have to save my pennies first though.

ratherchildish- The Kubrick I found by fluke looking for other IG stuff on ebay. There is even one that comes on a card with a cartoony rendering of the vintage pose on it. I should have put the box this one came in in the pic.

IG rules. I also have to get a Model Trem someday Smile .

Wow man! I love the Iggy focus you have going! Some excellent items for sure! I've never been a fan of the Mugs line of figures but I have to admit that IG looks pretty cool!

What plans do you have for your focus? MOC, pre-production, bootlegs? There's quite a bit of Iggy stuff out there.

Good luck! I can't wait to watch this grow!

P.S. Hang on to this pic, its always fun to look back as you grow. Smile

Chris- I'm not a huge Muggs fan either. But I had to get the IG when I saw it. Got him for .99 which made him even better. MOCs, preproduction, bootlegs, the answer to that question is yes. I want it all.

Love it Paul! I've got some mighty muggs floating around my house as well. Boba, Jango and some clones to meet my Mando fetish. I love that Kubrick also! I've been checking those out here lately. Don't want to collect a bunch but would like some for my Fett focus. (also the Bootleg Kubricks Joe Y showed us the other night Twisted Evil )

Nice work!
