My pc died last night, blue screen then took god knows how many attempts to load, it crashes as soon as i try to do anything, gotta use the laptop so may not be able to get online much over the next week or so as it needs set up etc

Format it and start again Geordie, sounds like you have some critical files damaged or missing, if you cant access your restore points or task manager theres a good chance a virus is the problem which i would recommend a format anyway.
