Just some brain teasers I made up. There is a logical answer for each. No scratch paper for the math. Good luck!!

1) What number is the square root of one quater of twenty five percent of one half of 8 cubed?

Spoiler:
	The answer is 4. Take 8 Cubed (8x8x8 = 512) divide by 2 (256) then take 25% (64) then 1/4 (16). The square root of 16 is 4.

2) Which of these doesnt belong, and why

Elephant
Rooster
Llama
Baseball
Cashier

	Llama is correct. Only word with 2 vowels

3) I like 584 but not 585. I like 755 but not 763. Which number will I like, and why

	126 and 123. You multiply by 3 in one, then deduct three from the next.

5) If you count from 1 to 99 , how many 9's will you see in total?

	Answer is B. Words are in alphabetical order

7) It takes 3 eggs to make 2 Sandwiches. If you need to make nine times as many sandwiches as half of a third of two dozen, how many eggs so you need?

	Answer is 54. 24 divided by 3 ( by half (4) times 9 = 36. 36 Sandwiches are 18 sets of 2. Each set of 2 needs three eggs. So 18 times 3 (54)

8.) Winston is 3 times as old as Ben. In 25yrs he will be twice Ben's age. 15yrs ago he was 6 times Ben's age. How old are Ben and Winston today?

	Ben is 25. Winston is 75. In 25yrs Winston will be 100 and Ben 50 (double). 15yrs ago they were 60 and 10 (6X the age)

9) If you walk 4 miles forward , then 3 miles right, whats the shortest distance you can walk to arrive back at your original spot?

Spoiler:
	5 Miles. Anwser is based on a triangle. A squared plus B squared equals C squared. 3 squared (9) plus 4 squared (4) equals 25. The square root of 25 is 5

10) Look at the equations below. What goes in place of ?? and why?

12 > 18 < 93
42 > 54 < 87
33 > 61 < 49
24 > ?? < 98

A) 43
B) 47
C) 22
D) 54

	Answer is B (47) . The middle number is derived by taking the number on the right, subtracting the left, and then juxtpositioning the result. 98 - 24 = 74. Flip it and you get 47

Like that one AJ....i had worked out the -3 bit earlier, but didn't get any further.
