A lot of people find these type of figures and then try to pass them off as being super rare or unique. I know were asking a real question and are not trying to fake anything. It is just that we see so much dishonesty, we get cautious.

You dont need this to be rare anyway, I saw those MOC Meccanos and they are just amazing enough !!!!!!!

I what includes completely what you say, many persons make fake figures, to persuade that it is one truth,
I got back it in a secondhand trade, many years ago,
For this figure I do not know if it is a custom or not, but according to me this is original, can be a discoloration,

i have a squid head with a white cape, it's a discoloration, I saw near the sewings the color of origin

A proto wouldn't look like that. Way to beat. Just a case of some serious playing time over the years. Maybe too much sun as well. But hey, whatever works in your collection.
