I love the idea of 3D TV but ten minutes of 3D and I end up with a splittin' headache! Those glasses mess with my eyes way too much!

Do you wear glasses Chaz? (reading/pc ones I mean)

If so it might be that without your prescription lenses your eyes are working overtime with the 3D visuals.

I used to run an optical laboratory in England and most types of glasses can be made to incorporate your own prescription in the lenses (Shooting glasses/safety glasses etc)

If you don't wear glasses perhaps get your eyes tested to see if you do have a prescription?

Thats not a bad idea mate, I think I am due a trip to the opticians. I think I am the only person in my family that don't wear 'em. Makes sense

Let me know how you get on at the opticians though mate, I would bet on you needing glasses, even a small prescription can give you problems, my wife only has -0.50 - 0.25 and 0.00 -0.25 and if she isn't wearing her glasses she can get headaches.

I remember once someone coming in for their first ever eye test in 30 years or so and they needed -6.00 lenses, the optician at the time couldn't work out how the hell they had even got to the shop without falling in front of a car

That is pretty interesting about the headaches. I was just talking to a coworker who said that he got headaches with the 3D glasses and have heard that complaint before. Maybe they should put some kind of label that states "If headaches occur get your eyes checked" LOL

It is stupid of me not to get them checked, to be honest I gave up goin' to the opticians because everytime I went they told me everything was top notch and fully functional! .....it has been a while though

I should take a bit more care of my eyes, I even cut one of them when I was a kid and everyone was astonished at the condition of my vision when it healed. I think I got a little too complacent

My eyes start to water and I have to strain to get the '3D' image, I thought it was just me as everyone else seems fine when i go to watch it with other people

Interesting stuff. I found watching Avatar in 3D i was straining at the beginning to see everything & started to get a headache.
I then found as i got into the story of the film i relaxed a bit, started seeing the 3d easier, & the headache went away.





....I then cashed the car on the way home swerving to avoid a 9 foot tall blue man with a tail. Knew i should have taken those damn glasses off.
