Thats an awesome custom cabinet bro!

Love the fact you went for the cardback yellow style and the lighting really sets it off!

LED strip lights from IKEA , "DIODER" PART #801.194.20 - 4x strips with a standard 3 pin plug.
I then mounted two on each side. applied with 3M double sided VHB tape.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

You can see that the LED strips sit behind a strip of 25x25x2 mm Aluminium angle, screwed to the cabinet side. On the front of this angle ( not visible in pic) is some Velcro. There is also velcro stuck to the back of the Polycarb, or 4.0mm Acrylic sheet. This holds the "screen" firmly in place. You can see in the other pics a tiny notch, this is a finger hole so i can remove the screen.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

You'll notice that on the screen i have laid up a cast vinyl boarder, (AKA vinyl decal) this acts as screen to prevent the light shining in to your eyes, and diverts the light sideways into the cabinet. It also is to refernce that cardbacks, (as well as the yellow back drop)

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

when the screen is in place the LED's are obscured, and the cabinet lights up. All the yellow is 3mm ACM ( aluminium composite material) it is attched in sections, with alum angle to 3.0mm clear acrylic shelves. All of these are held inside the cabinet with 3M VHB tape. Total build cost $75 AUD for LED's, $220 for ACM, Acrylic, Machining, Aluminium Angle, gluing etc.

I have the engineering drawings i made if someone needs them. I have done all the working out, and can give you an assembly guide. The wooden cabinet would have to be sourced or scratch built to suit. Thanks for all the positive feeback guys!!!

Beautiful display. It's amazing what some sharp lighting will do to really make it pop!
