You read it right, Josh. As for houses with half acre to an acre, your talking about developments or gated communities. I'm looking at one now (not to buy), which in places like that its half acres, and its $49,000. It didn't really say how much land was with it, but most likely 1/2. But with places like that, I rather live in a housing project because in both places, you don't get no privacy. I live on 12 acres that my sister and brother-in-law bought so we could be close to each other and it was like $120k. Nice spot out in the country with plenty of deer to hunt and I like it.
As for work, theres some out there, but the recession is still hitting hard yet. The state I live in is one of the poorest there is here, one reason why I want out of here. Plus theres nothing to do like Florida, NY, Pennsylvania, etc. The state is just pure dead. But it really depends on what you do. Me, I've done construction work since I was 15 and its all I know, so theres not much room for me to expand and too damn old to learn something new. I do know this much, a college degree pretty much don't mean much anymore unless you go into something like a big company that requires it. I know this chic who went to college and she works at an auto parts store. The US does have nice places to live here, buyt I'd research the places first to see whats going on there. All the places I lived at around here, I'd have to say Texas, Virginia, and Pennsylvania were the best. But Texas is to damn hot in the summer. I hate Missouri, so don't go there.
