Johnny u - Like the Captain America I love that Hot toys Superman might have to hunt some down over here.

DarthTad - Nice pair of graded comics there , but as you may have guessed I'm a sucker for a signed comic and the ones you have there are sweet if you ever want to sell any please let me know,
I'm so jealous of your kirkman's signed walking dead.
You guys in the U.S. have all the best comic cons its so not fair Mad lol!

After seeing that haul of signed comics I'm going to ask if any of you are going to any U.S. Comic con with some decent Signings please let me know so I can tap you up to get me some.
Many thanks.

Thanks guys!

Chris--Last year I got Liefeld to sign a Deadpool comic, so this year I got him to sign the new Hawk and Dove 1-4 that he's drawing for DC, and I got him and Kirkman to sign a new comic they do together for image called The Infinites. They're variant covers that were con exclusives.

He also told me that he has more stuff coming out this year for DC, which I'm stoked about. And I got him to pose with my Pimp Cowboy Vader. You can see it on my Facebook. Smile

That was Rob holding that Vader? jawdrop He looks a whole lot different from the last pix I seen of him. Looks like the comics biz is doing him good. Razz Cant wait to see what else he has in store with DC.

Great items as always guys! This thread moves fast!

Gorneesh - Are you far from Birmingham city centre? Do you go to Nostalgia and Comics much? When I lived in Brum I went there loads. There's also a cool used comics shop in Digbeth just up from the coach station that's good. And not forgettong FP too.

Tad - congrats on the autographed pieces. Love the Walking Dead.

Paul - really liking those SW comic baggies a lot emperor2

Jonny - the Superman rocks! The sculpting on his face is spot on!

Nothing new from here yet but will be visiting a used book and record store in Toulon 2 weeks time and hoping to find some goodies. Purchase withdrawal symptons starting to kick in now :crying:

The new Defenders is ok so far. the story is just now going so not much going on right now. It starts off with Hulk wanting help for............ you'll find out later. popcorn And for the cover of Nation X, that thing is called Doop. He was a member of X-Force from issue # 116, vol. 1., then went to X-Static. Now hes pretty much the receptionist at the new Xavier school run by Wolverine.

Gorneesh, Im down to a tad over 100 to go for the full set of Uncanny, not counting annuals. Im going to dread going for the first half of them (under the X-Men title). I might try to finish of the X-Force, New Mutants, X-Factor, Excalibur, Wolverine, and X-Men Vol. 2 first. Be alot easier on the wallet. Very Happy After that I want to go for Daredevil, Fantastic Four, Punisher titles, and a few others I dont need much on. To me, comics are a lot harder to get in the grade you want without going for graded stuff and cracking the case. But Im not about to spend 10-50x more for a book graded compared to non-graded. But I do have a very nice book I just picked up to the other day on the way. Its my oldest book to date. I wont say the title or year until it comes in, but I will say its a non- super hero title.

Well done chris_j it sounds like no easy thing to accomplish getting a nearly full run of Uncanny X-men. Always wanted to get into the X-men but never got round to it, or knew where to start.
Other than signed comics I'm working on building up a set of Swamp thing and the punisher as well as picking up anything else that takes my eye.

If you want to start on X-Men start with issue #141 of Vol. 1 X-Men. The Uncanny title starts at issue 142, but the story carries over from 141. I enjoy them, very good stories in it, but I hate all the crossovers into other titles. I rather have a continuing story with the same title.

I got in what has to be the perfect vintage comic book for me. It's a Brazilian reprint with both a Star Wars and Hulk story in it. Perfect comic for me. Vintage Marvel SW and the Jade Giant.

Kisstour03 that looks sweet, is it Star wars and Hulk in one story or are there two separate ones in there?

Sweet pickup, Chris! We've talked in here before about Atomic Comics here in Arizona, and how they went bankrupt. Well this week I got wind of one of their stores being auctioned off, so I drove my truck down to the valley to see what I could get.

All in all, it was a weird experience. I was able to score some sweet stuff, though. I won a lot of 7 mini busts, and I'm estimating about 900 comics. I'm still sorting through everything, and still organizing my entire collection. But here's a sneak peek.
