More than one month ago I bought a MIB Trilogo Ewok Village from ebay seller alwayslooking4moretoys. Sofar the package has not arrived, though the seller claims he has sent it.

Today Emiel (thx man!) found out that the same seller is offering another MIB Ewok Village on ebay.

Coincidence?

This is the letter I wrote to him accompanying a paypal claim.

Let me summarize: I paid you 390 GBP on August 12th for a vintage Star Wars Trilogo Ewok Village Mint in Box. The item was formely advertised on ebay (objectnummer: 140585024727. Seller:alwayslooking4moretoys) but the auction was ended beforehand though I had placed a bid. After I contacted you to express my disappointment about this, you offered me the opportunity to make a private deal, and as said we agreed 390 GBP.

Unfortunately the item has not arrived yet, despite your claim to have posted it. Even more - totally against my wish - you choose to send such an expensive item with untrackable post, so it hard to verify the current whereabouts of the item.

At this very moment you are offering another Trilogo Ewok Village (ebay object number 140609295218). At first glance that seems odd as Trilogo Ewok Villages are very rare items which hardly show up on ebay. But maybe you are a lucky guy and owned two of these great items.

Well let’s hope my item arrives soon, maybe I am just a bit impatient.

Can you explain this please?

Added links to the ebay auctions. I am aware this is against the outing rule, but this is a special case, as we are dealing with an dishonest seller.
Besides in legal terms I am still the owner of the Trilogo Ewok Village which has been relisted on ebay now, so technically this auction is illegal as I did not give permission for it.

THere is a small neat black sticker on both of the two items !!!

Marco, like me and Paul said in chat the other night, something sounds fishy about all that. Now that he actually put it back up for sale again using the same pix, you know that guy never sent it now. Hope you are still able to get your cash back, mate and neg the hell out him.

Long story short is the seller is a douche bag.

Marco - That's some underhanded shit. What a scumbag. Nothing pisses me off more than people who purposely try to rip someone off and then plead ignorance about pay pal transfers or whatever. Or in his case whining to you that he needs the money. Like that makes it right?? Damn right he needs the money - to pay you back for something he never intended to ship.

I swear, sometimes I feel like people who are selling shit must think us SW collectors are all idiots and will fall for their scams. Little do they now we are some of the sharpest tools in the shed (with a few exceptions, lol).

But seriously - glad you got your money back and thanks for getting this turds name out in the open as being a piece of poodoo (to be polite).

I think getting your money back is the best outcome. As they appear to be a dishonest seller, the item would probably turn out to be not as described! I had this once with a mib landspeeder. The guy reckon he had sent it and when I queried where it was, he said he was miffed at having to send me another! It then turned up and wasn't as described. These wrong uns need outing! Good work.

Hi Marco, sad story but I am glad to read you have received the money back.

I just wish some how we all could place a bad seller on a bad list on ebay so if we bid on them by mistake then we get a warning about we are sure about bidding.

Also so we don't have to write all the bad sellers down on paper, it is beginning to be a long list.

Don't worry too much Marco, I haven't actively followed the Trilogo Ewok village for long but I have seen enough in the past few months to make my mind up on their rarity.

Thank you for your support. I lost a trilogo Ewok Village, but at least I got my money back.

And after reading Joe's post, maybe I don't have to wait that long till another will appear.

I added some extra paypal correspondence to make clear that the seller was dishonest IMO, but decide for yourself. Most strikingly he asks me to inform him when the Ewok Village will arrive. On the same day however, he relisted the item on ebay, w/o telling me.








Out last correspondence was less friendly somehow..
