So, I just got a Nikon D-5000 from my cousin. She bought a D-90 and another more expensive camera for herself and did not need this one anymore. Do any of you guys have any suggestions on a lens and lighting set up to take awesome macro pics?

I do not know anything about photography, she told me this camera was fairly easy to use and great to take pics of my "toys" as she called them. It has an 18-55 lens (whatever that means) and a bunch of batteries and cases and a tripod thing
