PostSubject: Bad ebay seller acoustic_baiance   Mon Nov 14, 2011 3:43 pm

Hi guys I have bought a Lili Ledy Biker Scout from a seller on ebay who is called acoustic_baiance. But I received a kenner Biker Scout Sad

After that I contacted the seller and he told me it was a wrong picture on the auction. He did not have that figure.

I could mail it back to him and he would pay me my money back when he get's the figure. I told him it would cost £2 from denmark to uk and then he send me the money.
I asked about what if the figure gets lost in the mail, then he told me it was my problem. I do not think that is fair what do you think ? I have not maid the error. So i told him that he must send more money so it could be mailed as a packet so the postoffice will refund the money if it gets lost. He will not send the extra money. So know I am stuck with that figure. I have contacted ebay about the problem.

After that I googled him and I could see that other sellers have had problems with him on rebelscum Shocked

I just want to warn you guys I could see he had more lili ledy figures for sale.

Just slap him with an item not described and show them his comments about it being the wrong pix of the figure. If it was listed as Ledy you got a great case with him saying he doesnt have that figure. Thats why I always look at feedback history on sellers. If theres too many negs or neutrals left, I by pass them. Heres a great tool to use to check out the feedback with

How long ago was it? Its not showing in his completed listings. I was just wanting to see what it said. Sounds to me he's using stock pictures for his listings. Did you ask him if it was Ledy before you bought it? That might make a world of difference in getting a refund or partial refund. If you didnt inquire about it, all he has to say is its a stock pix and if it wasnt listed as one, he won right there.

I know hes selling a good bit of repros.

Just hit him with a negative feedback and offer to revise it if you can work it out. He'll change his tune

The weapon was repro but the figure on the picture had a small mouth. The figure I received had a big mouth.

May I place a link of the auction on the thread ?

I hope to hear from ebay very soon.

Yes I will give him Negativ feedback.

Just FYI Just checked my ebay history and turns out I've bought quite a few items from him. I haven't had any issues to date or that I can remember from this seller.

If its clearly a short nosed Biker Scout in the image then that is very deceiving. Clearly he has been selling SW gear for a while now so should know the difference IMO!

I bought from him when I didn't know any better, I wouldn't buy any more items from him anymore. I generally avoid a seller who is clearly on the repro train these days!

Get it sorted as soon as possible! I had a horrible deal with this guy back in late May/early June. I bought an R2 baggie from him that had a major slit in it. After some bickering back and forth, he finally said I could send it back. I did, but used a flat rate priority mail box, so it wasn't fully insured (my bad). Anyway, he claimed he never received it back and the post office tracking never updated. I opened a case against him and ebay favored for him. In the end I was out my money and the figure and by the time it was all said and done, I couldn't leave him a negative.

The same thing almost happened to a member on RS, but he ended up getting his refund.

Hi guys sorry to hear about all your bad deals with this guy.

Here is a link to the auction I won, as you can see it is a lili ledy figure.

But I received a figure with a big mouth.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260874566075&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123

Ebay contacted me today and told me that I should pay for the mail back to him. I don't understand how they could make such a decision. So I have complained about it to ebay Denmark and Ebay Uk.

There is no reason for me to send it back to him if I should pay £9.5 for sending it back to him with track and trace.

Sorry to hear this Lars. Sad

The seller is familiair with Lili Ledy as he sells some Ledy items as well.

So it is very likely he had just put a pic of a Ledy Bikerscout as a bait, knewing it would drive up the price.

My guess would be that you have the legal right to get the item which was pictured with the auction. The pic shows an item which is more rare compared to the one you obtained so this is some kind of fraud, not just a case of using an old stock picture.

Personally I have never dealt with this guy, and I will keep it that way.

Hi Marco, thanks for the support. But he does not have the other figure. He wants me to mail the figure back to him for my money and then I can have the money back that I paid for it. But the money I should pay for the mail back will be lost for me. I have never tried this before. Normal sellers always pay for the shipping back or give me a refund if they make a mistake. He only wanted to pay for it without track and trace and if it gets lost in the mail. Then it is my problem, he told me. Not his problem.
So I only want to mail with track and trace and he does not want to pay for that.

I will send him his £2 back today I will not sink so low as this bad seller.

I still hope Ebay can help, but it looks like they can't force him to pay for track and trace back to him Shocked

Sorry if this sounds bad or negative but I’m at work and in a rush to type this so my wording might not be the best… I'm gonna have to side with Darth on this one. Hit him with some big bold negative feedback and go from there. What is the worst that will happen to you? The seller might block you from buying from them?? That maybe the best solution to the problem. I know it’s the point of it all because I was pretty hot when I had a similar situation a few months back with a US seller and by the time all the emails and arguing was done I was out of luck on time. Learned a big lesson with that one… AND… In the end, Ebay will not care, it’s pennies to them what you are disputing and I’ve learned ebay’s philosophy is: **Soap box time** if you stop buying on Ebay then “So what”, Ebay is not losing money and they have ten hundred million more people willing to buy stuff and get ripped off in your place.

Im going to play bad cop here. I still think you should slap him with a NAD claim anyway. But he didnt list it as a Ledy and its not in the description as one.

Star Wars

Return Of The Jedi

Biker Scout Complete And Loose

Good Condition with some paint loss

Complete with Reproduced Blaster

I think if it was a Ledy Scout, it wouldve went for alot more than £12.81. He might know a good bit about them and all, but he's not the only seller who uses the same pix for all their items. Alot easier to use one you got than to take new ones for every figure you got to put on Ebay I would think. I just dont think a claim will really work on this one. All he has to is say he didnt list it as one if he wants to go that route.
