Always good to see these ads Cool

here's something not many know... on Stefan's ROTJ competition advert, if you look at the Vader store display in the bottom right (enlarge the photo image first by click to see fullsize!) you can see that the logo is actually 'Revenge' of the Jedi Wink

The artist's drawing was made before the decision was taken to rename 'Revenge' to 'Return'.

This is the same as the French advert version I have (I think Clipper and GM also used this ad too)

And he is the actual display stage, with the correct movie title....

Electricdragon, those are great mail order adverts Cool We already have a couple of those for our US entry (see page 1), but the others are new for us.
I really like those two colour ones you added showing the ESB cups and the new ESB figures and playsets.  Many thanks for adding cheers

Great new additions Paul!

I'm finding myself increasing drawn to these adds. I'll have to see if these any at my parents. Somewhere I've got a folder of cuttings etc. that I saved from my childhood ROTJ comics.

Great paper work items Paul! I love the colourful "sound effect" splashes on the Parker adds!

I have the Jabba advert page, picked it up from a trade with Uli. But never knew where it came from.

Curious ... Where were these adverts printed... Was Star Wars #1 #2 comics? If so where were these printed and are all adverts in one issue?

Cheers Craig, they're really nice ads aren't they. Yes, I remember your ad from Uli. I bought a large lot of mags and comics from Chris recently and will slowly be adding the adverts from them in these threads.

The Parker ones with the sound splashes were also used by Clipper for their publicity. In fact, Parker, Clipper and Meccano often used the same images and designs.

These are the three comics that the Parker ads I've shown are from. They're a bigger size than the US and UK Marvel comics, with strong cardboard covers and thick pages. Very well made.

Issues #1 and #2 Star Wars, Germany, 1985. And issue #12 Krieg der Sterne, Germany, 1985.
