PostSubject: Why I've been away from the board for the last month   Mon Jul 30, 2012 9:48 pm

Hey fellas. I've been absent from here alot lately. And it's been for a really awesome reason. My wife Sari and I boughht our first house on June 18th. It's been just over a month of moving and unpacking and getting the old apartment cleaned out and squared away. Fun times. I decided to snap some pics of my collection room. It's a work in progress, but I couldn't wait to post pics anymore. There's not alot of SW as I've toned back the collecting of vintage way back. I'm more into comics and comics collectables lately.

Here's a pic of the house a few days before we took posession.

Here's a shot going up the stairs. Yes thats a Sesame Street lamp poll up there.

Here's a better view of the poll. I have to get the sign fixed so it will stay on.

Turning the corner we see Saris Barbie collection in the hall. And a bit further down one of my display cases.

I keep some random stuff in this case along with my Spidy stuff.

A closer look at the Spidy stuff.

Heading into the room. My cave.

A shot of the main display case. Still some work to be done.

A look at the Hulk collection. My favorite.

Second shelf with some DC figures.

Third shelf has random stuff. Bottom shel is still in need of some work, theres vintage figures and bootlegs in those bags.

My Masters Of The Universe store display signs on the closet door.

The big MOTU sign that goes with the others.

My Captain America cel from the old 60s cartoon series intro. The Pinochio piucture was a gift from a friend of my moms when I was around 4 or 5.

The vintage comics rack my wife bough me for our anniversary this month.

Closeup of the sign on top. Super cool stuff.

My comics. In somewhat of an organized state.

The new nerve centre of my collecting world.

A few KISS items.

Some random stuff to play with while I'm chatting with you guys.

One of the Universal Monsters figures I love so much. The Metula Mutant from This Island Earth 1955.

And my favorite shelf. Everything is from my childhood. The dogs are very near and dear to my heart. My nanny gave them to me. Very Happy

Knowing how long you've waited to get your own place it must feel great to finally move in & set up home.
We've never believed the 'story' that the Barbie's are Sari's Razz

Thanks guys. We're pretty stoked about having our own place. I wiould have snapped pics of other parts of the house to show off but we're still setting up. What a long tireing process.

Paul the Thomas curtins were there when we moved in. The room I'm in was the previoous owners childs room. I'm going to get Sari to make me some Captain America curtins soon to replace them. they do fit right in though.

Congrats on your house purchase Paul! I'll never forget buying our first house, it was a mix of sheer excitement and complete terror. But the freedom you get from finally owning your own 4 walls is pretty damn cool, especially when your collection can finally find a place to be proudly displayed.

After another look I have a question. What line is the big green Hulk in the back right corner? *Looking at the pic
I like the look of that guy.
The display rack really is a neat piece. Sure looks great loaded up with a few comics. Really like the look of that. Cool
