Edit: This thread was originally started as a for sale thread but I did not know about the 40 post rule so it got moved over here to Limelighting. No worries though. I am going to re edit this post and continue to add to it to showcase my Star Wars artwork as well as my collection. Enjoy! Smile

AJ mod edit: 40 post 'rule' http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t4195-all-members-please-read-these-guidelines-before-using-the-tig-classified-section
Thanks and Happy Collecting!

P.S. For more of my artwork, check out my online portfolio here including a Star Wars art gallery: http://christianslade.com/?section=gallery&gallery_id=44

Ooops! Sorry. I did not know about the 40 post rule. I have been reading these boards for awhile but I do not usually post that much. I will try and contribute some more in the future.

Thanks and sorry again,
Christian

Fantastic drawings, love the idea of vintage SW coin machines and those drawings really trigger a nostalgic feeling.
Your samples on this site are great, but your work 'under' the link is even more fantastic.

I'm happy I checked your site, the stuff there is way better then those you linked here. These aint bad but the others can't really be compared in my opinion.
I guess I'm not that into the acrylic/water color look. I know it's hard though. We used acrylic a lot in school while coloring comics and it's not easy.
Very well done Smile

Thanks for stopping by and commenting everyone! I edited the first post to explain how this thread ended up in here. Those watercolor cards at the beginning of the thread were just some smaller pieces I wanted to make available here in the for sale section. They are actually much larger on screen than their actual size. Typically when pictures are blown up larger than the size they were rendered, they do not look as good.

Looking forward to posting more here about my collecting stories and artwork. Stay tuned...

Happy Collecting!

Here are the paintings I created last May for an original art show featuring Star Wars. Over the last few months, my twin kids have enjoyed a vintage coin op machine outside of a BBQ restaurant here in Winter Garden, Florida. That is where the idea came from. I am not sure these existed in the past but maybe they did...I imagine a company creating these on the side as a hobby and they sit along the wall of a bowling ally or somewhere similar, out in the world.

Nice work, Christian. The Star Wars Arcade paintings are superb! Really evocative of childhood. I like how you add the Pepsi and gumball machine and Ms pac-Man arcade  Cool  Thanks for sharing!
Cheers Paul
