CPR/AUTOPSY DUMMY PROGRESS

what you've see so far ...

Latest modifications ...

I attached a wig with a combination of straight pins , hot glue and super glue ...

then I cut a flap and added a little gore texture with latex and paper towels ...

It's made so that I can leave the scalp in place and then peel it back to reveal the gore  Twisted Evil

Thank You guys bow

This next prop is one I bought after Halloween last year , I believe it was about a $40 to $50 prop but after Halloween I paid $20 or so (which was still too much as far as I'm concerned  :cool laugh: )

This was him before ...

he also had god awful hair plugs that I pulled out before I even remembered to take a pic  Embarassed

1st step was to get rid of the little shity shirt he was wearing , replace his eyes and give him a bit better paint job (particularly in the mouth)...

Since he was hollow I stuffed the majority of the body with polyfill and the used Great Stuff spray foam insulation to cap it off (as well as adding the cheapo spine bone) ...

Then went around the edges and built up more gore with latex and paper towels ...

add paint ...

basically done...

Thanks Andy  Very Happy

I have learned a lot over the past few years and my techniques have improved a little but I still have a lot to learn  Embarassed

This next one is a small example of my learning process :

A few years ago I bought the vulture prop and decided to make a eyeball for it to chew on  Wink

Last year I started using the new eye inserts and decided to modify the head in the basket to make it look like the vulture was eating one of his eyes . The dummy and vulture eyes didn't match so I had to remake the vulture eye ...

the eye on the right is my new one  Twisted Evil

CPR/AUTOPSY DUMMY PROGRESS

The last update was ...

Here it is after adding a right eye and doing a little gore work around it , gored up the neck cavity , and did a little painting ...

The gore areas actually look a lot darker in person and are a blend of 4 + colors of red . The wig was actually a female wig and looked a bit feminine so I did a little cutting but still need to shape it up more (I might have to take the head to a barber so they can give it a proper hair cut :cool laugh: )

This was a simple easy one - 2 cheapo hollow skulls and a femur , painted/aged and skewered on one of my Tiki torches ...

and I needed to redo Buckethead a little , here he is from last year ...

I built up his neck with more latex , added more realistic neck bones , completely repainted the whole neck area and attached the mask and hair much better and more permanently then it was before ...

I am still working on several other new props too and will show them as soon as they are done What a Face

Good progress! Agree the hair is still not right yet. I would love to see pics of that CPR head in a barber's shop :cool laugh:
Cool gore on the neck area of Buckethead, and I like the skulls torch Cool

Thanks guys !!

been busy working on a few props ...

I threw Norma Bates together the very last minute last year ...

I worked her over quite a bit this year ... :cool laugh:

This next one was a "Zombie Dog" prop I bought last year after Halloween so I got it cheap ...

all I had done to it in this pic was use my dremel to carve out the eyes and teeth so that I can light it on the inside with led lights .

This is what it looks like now after a paint job , some slight modification to the leg area in front and added a collar ...

sorry about the weird sun spot/reflection in all the pics Embarassed

James,

Love the Zombie dog!

You need to do a walk-through video once you have everything in place man! I'd love to see the whole thing at once with all bells and whistles!

Very cool stuff man! I can't imaging the time you put into this all!

Thanks for sharing!! Smile

cheers!

I will try to figure out how to do a video - that would be cool Very Happy

If you liked the zombie dog maybe you'll like this one too ...

I bought this Zombie Squirrel this year because I thought it was funny and it was cheap ($10) ..,

originally I was just going to repaint it but , as things frequently do with me , it evolved What a Face

I decided to cut the base off so that I could mount him on this skull ...

and then my wife suggested replacing the acorn with a baby doll head (twisted bitch she is Twisted Evil ) ...

So this is what it evolved into lol!

and as if that wasn't enough , I rigged it with Led lights so that the squirrel eyes and mouth , baby doll head and the skull itself all glow red What a Face

That squirrel (with doll head nut Twisted Evil ) is cool!
I like how this year you've incorporated our furry friends into the carnage.
Agree with Jay about a video walkaround Smile
Top work bro!

Thanks Guys !!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting close to Halloween and I am still trying to wrap up a few last minute props doh

I finally finished Grandpa Sawyer though ...

The wheelchair was given to me last year .

The suit was bought at a thrift store for $10 .

The shoes and tie were bought cheap off ebay .

The hands were a cheap Dollar General purchase (repainted of course Wink )

The shirt was one of my wifes old ones (and the socks were mine throw up ) .

I made the mannequin out of white pvc plumbing pipes and joints and then used a old quilt to wrap the pvc frame and give it the shape/bulk needed .

The mask was a original Don Post Texas Chainsaw mask :

I put a lot of work into customizing the mask . I put it on a foam wig head and then cut , glued , used polyfill to fill any voids etc - until I got it in a slightly more realistic size and proportion .

New Eyes , new hair and a complete paintjob ...

He really isn't identical to either "Grandpa" in Chainsaw 1 or 2 - more of a hybrid Grandpa from both movies What a Face
