So I've been contemplating the recent buzz about repro sabers from another thread and was trying to remember where I had put a repro  Vader saber I bought about 6 years ago. Well, I dug it up and it's not the usual round-transition mould I've seen. At first glance (with the naked eye) it looks like a regular flat-transition saber but with macro photography it shows a slight round extrusion after a sharp edge. Here are the pics:

The color is very bright, almost fluorescent orange, to the eye. Much brighter than the pictures show. I can send it by mail to anyone that wants to observe/test it to add to the site in the repro section, just let me know...
Now I need to see if I have any Luke or Ben sabers that match the mould    Sad

Yup, found more of 'em. I could vaguely recall buying a bunch of these at the same time and sure enough I found them on some custom figures I had stashed away. Looks like they're from the same mould, with the same rounded flashing just after the sharp edge at the flat-transition point. Same rough texture and similar patterns on the handle. And the blue ones float too. I never got any Luke sabers, only the Ben and Vader but I assume there will be yellow ones out there also.

If memory serves, I bought these on eBay 6 years ago from an Asian seller (don't recall their exact ID) but they were very friendly and luckily were advertising them as repros and not trying to pass them off as vintage. If anyone has some of these please post pics as we may be able to spot some features that will help identifying these.

Here's a comparison shot to the round transition moulded repro commonly available on eBay. Notice the difference in texture and the seam running along the bottom:

here are the reValveiT ones on their website:

Please contact me if you want any extra info. - Cheers , Julian
