Well, I wasn't going to let you get all the credit and take all the reward lol. I still say you deserve 1/2 a point though, I only topped you by 1 letter Smile.

Agreed.

Happy Monday all you happy campers... tis the week of love and just to show you all how much I love each and every one of you rebels, I'm gonna make this week's question a little interesting!  You all remember the rules... no using the internet for your answers... you've got to answer off the top of your head! (That includes going to YouTube to watch clips of the movies!)  So without further ado... let's get on with it!

Question 77:
What is the correct order in which the X-wing pilots check in during the first Death Star run?  (Bonus points if you can name the two callsign numbers that are missing.)

Answer:

First Correct Answer: TheSchwartz (by a technicality because some people just don't read! LOL)

Red Squadron Call in:

Red 10, 7, 3, 6, 9, 2, 11, 5

Putting them in order...

11, 10, 9, ???, 7, 6, 5, ???, 3, 2

Assuming Red 1 is Red Leader, then that means Red 8 and 4 are missing

I have to say this isn't the easiest to remember on a foggy Monday Morning.

I believe the order is as follows:

RED 10
RED 7
RED 3 (Biggs)
RED 6 (Porkins)
RED 9
RED 2 (Wedge)
RED 11
RED 5 (Luke)

Based on this I would also have to say that RED 4 and 8 are missing.

Alright I just went through this on the Trivia game we did not that long ago. So there were 30 fighters in all which was mentioned in the movie,.

The order of Red Squadron was
Red 10
Red 7
Red 3
Red 6
Red 9
Red 2
Red 11
Red 5 standing by Whistle Beep blip blurp Smile.

Now as far as who is missing no clue on that one.

Suspect you guys knew this off the top of your heads? I barely remember what I had for breakfast, much less the intricate insignificant parts of the movie. Congrats to you if it is right as that is heck of a memory.

Very Happy No of course not! I'm averaging 4 hours sleep a day with the little guy's teething so I'm lucky if I can remember my name some days.

So (courtesy of y.tube) I played the death star attack scene on my iphone and watched them call in! My work-buddies calc pad was too close, so I wrote the numbers downs and rearranged them as I was listening.

Maybe I don't get any points for watching, but it was good fun to race my fellow competitors!

Nah, you get points. I was just curious if you guys remembered it or what. He says every week we can watch the movie or clips of it.

I remember those days (kid teething) to Craig. I am not envious of you my friend. Teething tablets and orajel are your friend during this time.

Thanks Bryan! He’s a brave little fellow and all the sleepness nights are worth it... took 5 years of tying and hoping for us to even conceive and the first one makes all the way to birth. We’re are very lucky. He has tablets though... lost too many fingers already using the gel :opps:

I don't recall it being in the Novel either, I will double check as it's been some time since I read it.

The thing that gets me is you only hear 8 pilots calling off, none from Gold Squadron. We see a few Y-Wings not sure how many took part in the attack, but we do know there are 30 rebel ships so who are all the rest.

Oh what a fun week... Sorry I had to disqualify ya there Craig... but I did specifically state in the original posting about not going to YouTube or I would have given it to ya! Sorry bout that! I think sometime in the future I'm gonna put the answer in the text before the question and see just how observant everyone actually is! Answer is posted with the question... until next week boys and girls! May the force be with you, always!

I'm surprised no one referenced the Family Guy Star Wars movie where everyone checked in... Like Redd Foxx, Helen Reddy, Simply Red, etc! LOL

Wow I figured Craigy had me cold on this one.

I've memorized some pretty odd stuff(including the periodic table of elements). At my Job, I have over 120 part numbers committed to memory.

One of the reasons I remember this is because my brother would always call me porkins (Which makes no sense because I look nothing like him) and he would play the death star attack over and over(and where Porkins bites the dust).

I memorized this long ago...10 7 3 6 9 2 11 5... It has a flow to it....

Sorry Craigy

@LrdSatyr8

Are we taking the week off or is the lack of a question in observance of President's Day?

You must be joking right? LOL  Of course there's a trivia question today... It's been over a year now and I haven't missed a week yet!  Just for your imputence, this week won't be that easy! LOL  Remember the rules... no cheating by using the internet (THAT INCLUDES LOOKING AT MOVIE CLIPS OFF YOUTUBE CRAIG! LOL)  Let's get on with it shall we?

Question 78:
What Star Wars props were built from British Sterling L2A3 SMG's?

Answer:

First Correct Answer: Craig T
