PostSubject: Melbourne, Australia catch up   Sat Nov 21, 2015 9:42 pm

Hi all,

It's been a long time since I've logged on but it's time I got back into things Smile

I've been mentioning having a meet up of Melbourne collectors for some time but have been very slack in organising it, so it's time to make it happen!

The intent is to catch up for coffee and maybe a late breaky in Northcote one Saturday or Sunday and then go for a wander around Lobos Collectables and check out all the cool vintage stuff they have. I know we're getting into the mad end of the year but I'm still keen to do this before Christmas and for those that can't make it, we can always do it again early next year.

Possible dates (Sat/Sun):

28/29 Nov - I can't make those dates
5/6 Dec
12/13 Dec
19/20 Dec

So if you're interested in having a social get together please reply to this thread and also let us know what dates you can't do, or what dates or day you would prefer and hopefully we can pick a day that is suitable for everyone.

I'll probably bring along a few show and tell items and perhaps others might bring a couple of cool items to share.

Details of Lobos Collectables:

503, High Street,
Northcote, Melbourne,
VIC 3070, Australia

Open: Sat 10am - 6pm, Sun 10am - 5pm
Lobos Collectables Facebook page

Please feel free to share this with others who may not be members of TIG Smile

Dax, I've posted this in an aussie FB group, any way for you to update the Lobos FB page with a set date? And those on facebook & not forums can also comment there.

Hi James, thanks for posting the details on FB for us and sorry to hear you can't make it Sad Maybe next time Smile

I can see on Lobos' facebook page there's a section on the left for visitor posts. I'm not sure how facebook works but does that mean someone with an account can post something there? Unfortunately I don't have a facebook account so I'm rather lost with all this.

As for a date, from a few people that have so far made suggestions it appears that either the 19th or 20th would be most suitable, with the 20th as a preferred date for one person so let's say the 20th and work towards that!

OK, we're going ahead for this Sunday, 20th of December. Meeting first at a cafe called Kau, 541 High St, Northcote which is a very short walk up the road from Lobos. It should be easy enough to get a park on High street at that time of the day and just walk to the cafe. I'll be there from 9am and will grab breaky and an awesome coffee plus I'll have some show and tell items for others to take a look at. Looking forward to seeing people there!
