the helmet is definitely different from a kenner .
the emblems seem bolder as in the guide although the orientation seems off on one shoulder .
can someone tell me if this is a ledy or the kenner no coo counterpart as its driving me quite batty geek scratch
did I get ripped off? any help is appreciated :cool laugh:

Bill, do you have another atst figure that is Kenner to do a comparison? From the look of it in this photo I am not seeing Ledy but it is hard to determine for sure when he is not side by side with another.

Ledy figure should have the entire body be a bit darker gray, the face skin should be more tan than a Kenner, the symbols are usually orientated more how the right arm one is but even that one isn't straight up and down as most I have seen.

If I had to go off what I see right now I am thinking Kenner, but seeing him side by side with another may make a difference. The face on yours looks to light and the body itself looks to light.

That pretty much confirms it for me. He is a kenner. Sorry, hopefully the seller works it out and you don't have to go through a bunch of crap.

The helmet colour seems right, a greenish grey. The black paint doesn't give any clues as I've seen both Kenner & Ledy with gloss or matt.

Does the grey uniform look slightly darker in hand, it's hard to tell from the photos?

no the body seems almost if not exactly the same Stef , along with the face color .
in the ledy guide it shows the emblems being more upright than a kenner .
the helmet is Exactly what throws me off , it is quite greenish grey. what do you think

The one that has the darker looking helmet in the side by side is the Kenner right? The face doesn't look more tan though, and the body color looks the same.

Hi All,

I'm sorry for any confusion but this is my fault if this figure is not Ledy, I was the seller **  Embarassed  Embarassed  Embarassed I'm so embarrassed and I hope you can forgive me hellhippie. I have already refunded hellhippie, there is no problem there but it would be great to get to the bottom of whether this guy is Ledy or not.

Firstly I have to add that I'm no Ledy expert and I'm not trying to defend myself but rather trying to call out the facts to get your expert help.  My research suggested these are the key characteristics of a Ledy ATST Driver:
1) the helmet must be browner/greener than a Kenner. I have a number of kenner ones I compared against and it's definitely more brown/green than the kenner grey.
2) the body should be darker (the shade of grey on my other figure vary so this was hard to say definitively, some are lighter than this figure and some are the same, I have no others that are darker though)
3) the emblem on the shoulder should be more "bold" typeface, which it is.
4) I knew the emblem should be vertical against the mould line (which I think it is on the right shoulder) but I couldnt find evidence to whether the emblem should be vertical on the left should too? can anyone confirm or deny this?

... I didn't know that the face should be darker though, and have to take hellhippie's word on that one because he's got the figure  Rolling Eyes

Here are my original sales pictures which provide some high resolution images for you guys to see
** http://www.ebay.com/itm/282035127224

Thanks for your help, sorry to hellhippie if this turns out not to be Ledy, I'm happy to take the figure back but I don't want to list it again as Ledy if it isn't so please help?!?

Thanks everyone!
Mat

== Edit ==============
After looking at this Ledy thread I'm still of the opinion this little fella is Ledy:
http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t2135p240-the-lili-ledy-guide-discussion-thread-part-1#AT-ST Driver

- the vertical aligned logo (or slighly tipped forward) is the same except it's on the opposite shoulder
- the face is darker, or I would describe it as less pale because it's more skin colored rather than darker
- I can't comment on the outfit color without the figure in front of me
- the helmet is more brown/green than the Kenner counterpart figure

Is there a "transition" figure where the same moulds, plastics etc.. were used by Kenner and Ledy on this figure? the reason I ask is because on this image in the discussion thread the no coo figure is labelled with a "Kenner/Lili Ledy":

All that old guide pic means is the same coo mold was used by Ledy and Kenner. The thing is Ledy paint apps are distinct. The face color is wrong in my opinion, both shoulder emblems should be the same being up and down (vertical) with the mold line, the body is a darker gray and can be seen better in person but you should be able to see them side by side for sure and tell the difference, the helmet is close but not as dark as it should be in my opinion.

In my opinion this is not a Ledy figure.

It is worth saying also this was not a made in Mexico release figure meaning for Ledy it was only released in Mexico. It was not distributed to the U.S. Via made in Mexico cards so unless it was sourced from Mexico the odds of it being a Ledy are that much smaller, and even if sourced in Mexico they had Kenner figures down there as well. This is one of those figures that is harder to tell unless it is in person (not as hard as some but still hard) but unless it matches ALL characteristics of known Ledy figures then you can't call it Ledy. Small paint differences like the helmet not matching exact to other examples with this one can be explained by batch to batch differences, but there are to many things here besides the helmet in my opinion.

while I appreciate you coming on here and explaining your side of the situation , this is no ledy as Bryan stated . the suit and face match kenners colors perfectly . no worries as I will send it back for a refund . its just not ledy . there was no picture of the left arm emblem on the original auction which besides color is what threw me off . oh well , no harm no foul .
