Does anyone know how to tranfer Mini DV's to a PC via a camcorder?

The camcorder im using is Medion MD80566 Mini DV and i manage to install the driver successfully but after that im at a lost

Usually you need a piece of software to read the camcorder and take the DV stream off it.

windows movie maker reads camcorders

Most minidv camcorders also require you to use firewire(1394) for the transfer. The dumb thing is that they usually don't include a firewire cable, but instead a USB cable which is only good for transferring still pictures from the camera. Also, if you pc doesn't have a firewire, then you'll need to add a card to get the ports.

As has been said movie maker should work that comes with Windows. I've also used Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere which are both good editing packages as well.
