PostSubject: jaymassive619 Collection   Tue Apr 06, 2010 1:40 am

I have been meaning to do a limelight for a while but never got round to it.

Well after a whole weekend of cleaning the spare bedroom out (The cleaning was a nightmare i even washed all the acrylic cases and starcases in hot soapy water for over 2 hours!) i have finally got my collection on display Smile

So i thought i would have a go at trying to get some decent pictures and here is the result Smile

UPDATE -

Frame Before

(Picked up from a charity Shop for 1 pound!)

Frame After

(Sanded down and sprayed with Tamyia Metallic Carbon Graphite new white border made from card Glass cleaned)

Cheers Joe yep the old lodger wrecked the spare room completely so it took forever to try and clean it and sort it out!

Its not the finished article yet though i have more vintage posters that im hoping to build frames for. I used an old tatty frame form a charity shop for the starwars forever poster! I sanded it down and spray painted it with a tamyia metallic graphite carbon the effect doesn't really show in the pictures above so ill try and upload some before and after pictures of the frame later today Smile

Aye i pick the odd Tri Logo up now and again but at the moment im trying to add more clear bubble foreign MOC's i have a ESB Canadian MOC and a Dutch Clipper MOC on the way:)

Cleaning the Oscarcases and starcases was a nightmare but worth it i think its amazing how much dust they pick up in storage now you can actually see into them lol

The Vaders are coming along i have some more coming in the post but its getting harder to find the ones i need now lol I may have to move on to the next figure soon over the next year as i have decided to collect loose variants of all my favorite figures Smile

The collection looks great Jay. I think I said it before on SWF, but I really like the run of Lukes on the different logos.

The Vader focus also looks great. Very Happy

well smart mate, im waiting on the same poster you got, silver one unframed coming this week,
some of the pictures you took really show up the slight differences in the same character, even skin tone in one of the dengars

Nice collection Jay!

Nothing like having a Star Wars room to escape to after a shitty day. Mine is the only stress free zone in the house.
