That modern display was a custom piece with limited numbers made up a few years ago, either it was offered for sale on RS or was a creation of someone on RS but that's where I heard about it when it came out, I think they sold out pretty quickly but they do turn up for sale from time to time.

Nice cool piece and an odd one to find at a boot sale, that was pretty much an online only display stand I think so the guy must have collected at some point Smile

Yeah they had some pretty cool ideas for future displays, but then the company went under. I seem to remember really liking the one they had lined up for ROTJ. They even had plans for a full on display cabinet that would have been great for vehicles and such which almost made it out. If anyone is interested in seeing them, I'll try and find some old pics.

Nice finds with the boot sales ... Man that takes me back to the day! Getting up at 4am in the weekends to try and score some Star Wars toys.

Contribution-wise ... I haven't had a chance to put up recent buys in a long while so will start putting some up to share:

First is an important card for for my research. It is a "HN" 77-Back (i.e. from: Hong Kong Factory 1). This particular one has the alternative print settings for the all the writing on back of the Card. More importantly though, Luke Jedi is the Pink Faced version. Up until now, I thought that the Pink Face version of this figure was only to be found on 65-backs (packaged with a Blue Sabre). Now I have proof that the pink face was released initially on 77-Back with a green sabre before they changed the paint for Luke's face to the paler flesh coloured paint.

Next is my second Catalogue Pack. This one is MISB and contains 8 Figures. I have to be brutely honest... the Pack is fucking mint!
I will resist the urge to open it too as I like the fact I have no idea what Luke Baggie is inside. It’s my Schrödinger's Luke!

I saw this unused Jabba Box Flat on the Bay the other day and thought it would look really cool mounted and framed when I eventually have everything on display. Jabba has to be my favourite playset as I had one as a kid.

Your latest Vintage Purchases! Volume 2 - Page 37 Us_ken13

The next item is a MISB Canadain Desert Sail Skiff. I can't thank enough DJ for helping me with this piece. DJ matey: If you are still viewing TIG on the sneak then sign up - TIG could use an awesome guy like you!

The last item for now is a R.O.C. Baggie. This was bought from Frank Bray and is the Higher COO Stamp version. This confirms that you can get both versions of the “Made in Taiwan” (TJ Factory) Luke Jedi in this baggie type

My camera doesn’t have Macro so sorry for the crap picture of the COO

I am working on my post so as I upload more pictures of my recent finds I put some up here too...

later guys!
