Adidas needed a good way to plug their range of SW merchandise so what better way than to mash-up the Cantina scene with the World Cup and some dubious celebrities?
Cleverly made, but really just another greasy franchise-flogging attempt at making stuff seem cool on the back of classic Star Wars IMHO.
Snoop was quite entertaining, but David Beckham in the Cantina is about as likely as Geoff Hurst putting his boots on for England.
And the Gallagher brothers giggling in the corner??? They should have made Vader come in and strangle the bastards.
Apologies for bitching (and I actually like a couple of the SW Adidas items - & I'm a fan of some vintage adidas) but this is just flogging dead horses and ringing the cash tills.
Maybe on the plus-side it'll make some people watch the OT who haven't seen it before? But I suspect most have already.
Funniest thing is the actual Tag line they employ at the end:
"Adidas - Celebrate Originality"
