| Hi,
I have seen 2 types of jedi training balls for the millenium falcon. A smooth one and a faceted one.
Are these both original versions ? I know the smooth one is (was part of my own childhood falcon), but the faceted ones could very well be 'home made' (read: bought in a hobby shop).
Can anyone with MIB falcons check this out ?
Cheers, Martijn

I thought the 'faceted' ones are real (the fake ones are virtually identical ) similar to a bead from a craft/hobby store |

Well, it could go both ways ofcourse Hence my question to owners of boxed versions to check and let us know I just never had this confirmed, and I want to be sure. Actually, faceted would be more 'movie like', so that makes sense. |

| I am starting to think I was shafted somehow indeed ... problem is, I have more smooth ones, so I will just photograph them to show you. I cannot remember much details ofcourse ( I mean, I was 7) but I know I never had another one than the smooth one (and I was pretty careful with my SW, I mean, the only think I lost was the Cloud Car Pilot communicator, but hey ) Couldn't it be a Palitoy version ? Don't even know if they released a falcon, but they are known to make small alterations. Anyhow, thanks for looking, I will take some snaps this weekend Cheers, Martijn |

| This one is fake (repro parts crap) Now these are mine: now as far as I know the lighter grey 'stick' is fake & sinks, now the larger 'faceted' ball is fake? But the first repro I posted has small facets  So there are 2 fakes or I'm confused or both

| I found it! http://www.lichtgeschwindigkeit.de/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=340&hilit=training+ball watch this thread for all three original versions: Sorry in german, but you can scroll down and watch the pics! There are three versions: 1) disco ball (exists also as repro!) 2) round ball (Palitoy......gustie confirmed it as Plaitoy in the RS link) 3) rough ball (exists also as repro!) hope this helps! |

| OK, now I'm really confused. The bagged one is darker grey and has the larger facets which is different to the "common polyhedral version". Wolff the one in the bag is rough ball or disco ball? |

I have seen these threads before i have to say apart from Gusties confirming the smooth ball as genuine i have seen zero evidence to back this up. Also all the Palitoy Boxed Falcons i have had access (at least 4) had the faceted training ball. the bag shows the rough ball ( I named it so if I remember right.....so call it like ya want ....its has bigger facets then the discoball!) @Jay: the rounded ball was not pictured from gustie...so I think there are more out there.....maybe Ben SwScout (who posted this picture) can chimn in! BTW: I have a rough (big facets) one! Fact is: 1. discoball exists as real and repro! 2. "rough" ball exists as real and repro! 3. smooth ball: I also never saw one! Wolff |

| Hi All, Here are the pictures of my balls ... (ehm ... ah, you know!) I have 2 smooth ones and one faceted. One stick seems to be slightly darker. Yes, the image is huge, but this gives more detail.

| I am interested in obtaining all of the versions of the Jedi Training Remote. If I am following the thread correctly, there are 2 US and 1 Palitoy. The US ones are the smooth one and the disco ball, but what is the Palitoy one? Also, how can you tell a repro from an original. I recently bought two off of ebay and I would like to post the pics of them here for you guys to see, but I cannot get a close up picture that shows any type of detail... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!! |

| Bringing this old thread back to life... Need some help! I recently purchased a Jedi ball on eBay and I'm trying to figure out if what I got is in fact an original Jedi training ball!
I put my Jedi ball up to a bright light (my iPhone light) and mine is see through under light and blue in color, but looks very black when not under a bright light. Can anyone out there with a authintic millennium falcon check your Jedi ball under light and let me know what you see?? Would appreciate any help you can provide! |

| I will get some shots of mine which is the real deal for sure, hopefully I can get some real clear shots and I will see if there are any markings of any kind as well. |
