I have set this thread up to document the Vintage SW Micro Line of Ships as i pick then up over 2011 Smile

To kick it off here is the Micro X Wing that i recently picked up.

I have added lots of pictures for those who may not have seen or know much about these and i've also included comparision pictures with the full size Vintage X-Wing.

If anyone has pictures of the other Micro Ships and can add them to this thread that would be awesome i know Ive only ever since poor / small pictures of them on the net prior to picking this one up and i personally always enjoy seeing detailed pictures of items Smile

Cheers Jay

Very nice Jay, good pics and I'm glad you showed the comparison with the regular X Wing - the sculpts are really close. Also, never knew it had tht push button feature to simulate a direct hit lol! Would love to get one of these one day to go with my other X Wings. Are you still going for a run of the die-cast ships on MOC too?

Seeing that makes me wish I still had the prototype snowspeeder. Those things are just cool.

Yeah still looking for Die Cast MOC's bro im not rushing it just taking my time i have a few leads on the go at the moment so i hope to have landed 1 or 2 more in the next few weeks Smile

You can add me to the list who didnt know it had the exploding feature as well lol

Its actually a very cool toy imo as its small its a great ship to make use of a spare piece of space in a collection room Smile

It's been a while since we've had some new photos so hopefully this kicks off a bit of interest. The challenge for me is finding the time/motivation to actually photograph everything and then load the photos but I was inspired by Dover's Micro Collection... err, collection to drag my stuff out into the light.

Micro Ships Thread Micro01

This is my full set of Micro Collection items, all complete and open but only about a third of them have ever actually been displayed or played with. Many of the stickers are unattached and the die-cast figures are still sealed in their individual baggies. Hell, the foam for the Trash Compactor is still connected and in perfect condition!

This second photo shows which items from the above set are Toltoys versions.

Micro Ships Thread Micro02

To contribute to the previous discussion the Falcon has the big red blank patch on the back, no BYA promotion. I just need two more items now, the TIE Fighter and the BYA figure set itself to complete the Toltoys set as it currently is known. No, I'm not going to get into the Snowspeeder variation, one is enough for me! Can anyone confirm if there is a Carbon Freeze Chamber with either the Toltoys BYA promotion or at least Aussie Instructions? Eventually I'll probably pick up the couple of missing US items and that will be it Smile

I was also pleasantly surprised to see this:

Very Happy I wonder if Palitoy or any other distributor had their 'own' micro line as well??

Very nice AJ! Love the Tie and Snowspeeder! I dont think the Micro line was issued in the UK? I'm not sure though i will have to check but i dont think Palitoy produced them.

Hi Peter

The falcon is by far the hardest to find and was a Sears Exclusive in the USA and also released via Toltoys in OZ.

Ball park your looking at between £200 - £300 for a decent complete ungraded Falcon. Its certainly a lot more expensive that the other 3 ships.

Hope that helps.

Cheers Jay

Jay, roger to that ball park figure. When converted to my local currency that will be between 979.58 to 1,469 Malaysian Ringgit for a decent ungraded MIB Micro Collection Millennium Falcon! Its as good as buying a MIB Vintage Star Wars Millennium Falcon for my 3.75" to 4" Mini Action Figures! Then again its a Sears Exclusive (US) and a Toltoys Exclusive (Australia) piece.

Just to share a bit of Vintage Star Wars toy History with you guys. This very piece was actually ON SALE in Malaysia back in July - August 1983 at selected toys shops who brought in lots of Vintage Kenner RETURN OF THE JEDI toys at that time. I really wished I have gotten that piece back in the day, but there were other items to get and I was on a Secondary School boy's limited allowance..

P.S. It packaging was the US Kenner box.

Jay, wish I did have the pix of it yet and yhea it was sold off. Actually it changed hands twice already. The guy who bought it only needed the prototype figure that came with it and then flipped the snowspeeder by itself. Don't know who owns it now. But all the action features worked on it, wings falling like it was shot and everything. Thats what happens when you get laid off from work for 6 months and need cash bad. No

Jay--Cool pics of the micro X-wing. I never really paid too much attention to this line, but after seeing the pics in this thread, it actually looks like a pretty interesting collection. I was surprised how closely they were modeled after the original size toys. Its almost an exact match for the original, only shrunken down.

Looks like they could make for a very cool display as a side focus. Something to think about if I ever get my loose collection completed. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic thread.

I thought about the Micro line as a focus a few years back.

Think they look great

Thought I'd bump up this thread with my first Micro vehicle - the X-Wing which I'm really impressed with Very Happy But I was a bit curious about some of the COO information on the box...

The box states that the mini-figures might've been made in Singapore, Canada, Mexico or UK. Anyone know any info on these factories and did they produce other SW toys? I guess the mini-figures are too small for a COO stamp. But it would've been cool to see 'Made In Singapore' stamped as a coo! I noticed James, earlier on in the thread, had also posted some box coo info on an Australian distributed micro toy... so there seems to be some interesting connections to different countries with the micro range!

Micro Ships Thread Xwing_16

The vehicle has a COO stamp no problem:

This is the one I picked up in a lot of vehicles I purchased a few months back. It has a sticker advertising a cardboard back drop. Unfortunately the piece only came with the X wing, figure and cardboard insert. The X wing stickers weren't applied and they're not in the box. The micro collection is not my focus, I'd be interested in trading this piece if there's any interest.

James - that proto Millenium Falcon is just cool Cool Cool Nice find!

Andy - love the snowspeeder and tie, you should post your other sets if you get chance. I think one day I'd like to put a run of Micro together too Smile

Hi Tim, no, the micro-collection is very much its own series, with absolutely tons of cool stuff to collect:

Thanks R2 - I've put pics of the other sets below but strictly speaking they should be in a thread of their own. I've also got a good run of the die cast MOC. Just missing the bomber, but I have a side focus on die-cast TIEs
