| A mint loose and complete loose Uzay Vader, in the current market, would cost you anywhere from $350 to $500 depending on who's looking and spending at the time.

| In less condition ( & therefore less cost) would mean more people would find it within their price range. Consequently even a 'naked' vader would probably be $200 |

| If Joe doesnt know, nobody knows. Of course Joe already did the pricing, so my 2 cents will be just a "Good Luck". Naked is the most likely scenario though. I know there are a few people (myself included) who need a saber so I shudder to imagine what will happen when one appears. | Im probably opening myself up to a potential slapfest but what the hey..
If I actually found a saber, I'd send it in and have it recased, simple as that.
I've touched on this before but for me, AFA is used only for authentication. I don't need or care if sometings a 50,60,70,80 etc. Hell I've got my AFA40 3 pack and love it! Every item I have graded all have a reason and it's to show a potential buyer that there is no ambiquity about it legitimacy. If you're Joe, your word is good and there is ZERO doubt about an item. I bought a figure recently from him sight unseen based on his word (He really did want to send pics but I was that confident in him). I might one day have some promenance, but in case I don't I think selling them this way will be better.
I don't want to monologue and hijack DLTs thread but Im going to start another to expand on this. _________________________________________________ SHEESH!!!!i am not raping anyones childhood!!!! - Darren P.S. | I bought an Uzay vader on the Bay once, it was in great shape but had an replica saber (was mentioned in the auction). Anyway, people seemed affraid to bid on it as it only had 3 bids and i won it for 62 euro....
I sold it to Rob (the admiral) a half year later and as you know this is now an AFA85 vader in John's collection.
So bargains can be found, you just have to have the guts for it at the time it's there. |
