Baggie factory slits Empty
PostSubject: Baggie factory slits   Baggie factory slits I_icon_minitimeTue Aug 09, 2011 4:15 pm

Hey everyone Smile

Im wondering about this term. A while ago I bought a Fett baggie, and when it arrived it had large vertical slits in the bag. The figure cant come out but the weapon can.

It kind of hard to see it from pictures of other bags who mention them, and I just wonder if mine is damadge or what the "ordinary" way they would slit these baggies.

Help much appreciated, if you have any pictures I would like to see them for comparrison.

Regards
Claus

I'm sure I have a fett baggie which has a slit similar to what described I'll have to take a look a little later after work and post a pic. I just thought it was damage to the bag, maybe not now. I can't remember it being too large though.

Did they normally slit baggies? I've never heard of that. But also I don't collect them. Why would they do such a thing, when it risks the weapons falling out.

Here's a similar slit on an R2 I recently got burned on. My theory on them is that they are razor slits from opening up the shipping boxes just like the ones you can find on boxed vehicles and MOCs sometimes. Here's one example of a shipping box of baggies that have been found.

The qeastion comes from seeing a seller on scum, selling a baggie Fett with the describtion, that it was factory slit for easy opening.

Mine looks the same, only more of them.

I hope I dont sound to bitter here. It must have been a sellers argument to sell it, like when people write open box, object never removed. Or where someone writes rare infront of everything, just as an quality stamp.

Wouldn't make sense to slice a bag with a weapon in it for "easy opening" if the weapon could be lost during transit to the factory to be packaged onto a card or in a multipack etc.

Seller talking out of their backside on this one I think, damage is damage and bags can get ripped pretty easily.
