It started as a good thread but after a while the whole discussion went down the drain.

Not a figure but another example of discolouration. The die cast vehicle range are made of metal but also contain plastic parts that can discolour.

"Mouldy" limbs Chewbacca

Max Rebo with discoloured torso (aswell as the usual faded limbs & head). The pattern of discolouration to the upper torso would appear to be due to direct sunlight/UV damage, as the lower troso (protected by the organ) & area under the arms are unaffected.

Heres a great example of a "Green Limbs" Chewy in mid transformation . I know we have all seen plenty of these guys but it seems like most I have seen had completely green limbs or like 1 or 2 limbs all green and the others all brown . This figures left arm is actually 1/2 green and 1/2 brown and his left leg shows partial discoloration as well .
To me this is sort of a "missing link" that pretty well shows without a doubt that the green limbs is just discoloration , plastic degradation or whatever you want to call it
If there are still any people out there that still believes in Green Limb Chewys (and the Easter Bunny) surely these pictures can convince anyone that it is just a myth ...the Green Limbs Chewys I mean (the Easter Bunnys REAL Damit !)

James, congrats digging up this great piece of evidence for the discolouration theory.

So now we know for sure:

A really good thread, a very useful and informative read, well done Marco. I completely agree with everything said on the first couple of pages. I have a golden torso zuckuss in my collection although the discolouration is only on the front. You can use the pics for the thread if you find them useful. Well done again on a brilliant and informative thread.

I bought bespin leia with green limbs off eBay....

What are the thought on different body textures. Are those variations? I have a hammerhead with a smooth and a textured body.
