| Anyone able to give me some helpful tips on identifying a Glasslite Chewbacca Rifle. Reading TIG page Rifles Section It should be much shinier than the Kenner Zuckuss rifle and also appears to be bluer? I recently bought a Glasslite Chewbacca and the rifle looks very much the same as the Zuckuss Kenner version. It doesn't appear any shinier or a different colour but perhaps the differences are more subtle and I just havent noticed OK Photos added, what do you think? Do I have 2 Kenner Zuckuss rifles?????? I've mixed them up and can't remember which is which now I think the Glasslite one is/should be the top one but I can't be sure! Cheers Oli

| Hi Oli The Chewie GL rifle is at the top of the picture compared to the kenner below. It's an older picture taken on my old camera so i can take a better one later and see if the comparison is better - but, the GL isn't as black as the kenner, it's very subtle and i hope the picture does show this and it does have a bit of a sheen to it. Hope this helps mate. Lee |

| Thanks Lee Do you have a picture of the other side? Which version is it on TIG? Are there any distinguishing details to the mould? I will have to unpack my camera and take a picture in good light - perhaps it will look different. To be honest the one I have looks identical to the Kenner version, I really can't tell the difference. Cheers Oli |

| My one is V1 without the circle on the handle. I've had a look at the GL on the TIG guide and it looks blueish to me so i'm not sure on that one unless there is more than one GL blaster variant? Mine came from a Brazilian collection of the whole GL set all with correct GL accessories. I will post up more pics when i can. Cheers, Lee |

Hi Oli, The top one in your pic has the V1 mould, like Lee's Glasslite rifle. The bottom one has a V2 mould (extra circles), so probably is a Kenner rifle (unless Glasslite used two different moulds, which seems unlikely). |

| As Glasslite used an old Kenner steel mould to cast their rifles, I can imagine these rifles might show some evidence of 'weathering' of the used steel mould. I used Lee's comparison picture to look for any weathering. I only find a small clue: When you look at the row of four 'halve moons' the one at the far right seem to be a bit deformed in the Glasslite version. This might be an artifact when casting the gun, or maybe it was 'encoded' by a weathered steel mould. In the latter case, all Glasslite rifles would have this small defect. I don't have Glasslite in my collection, so I can not check this unfortunately, but I am sure other members can. |

| Thanks Marco great pictures.
Yes its definitely the same v1 mould but nothing to distinguish Kenner V Glasslite as far as I can see.
I can't see any weathering. The detail looks crystal clear in both.
And I dont see any difference in colour or the shiny/matte finish either.
In the comparison pics I have seen (Lee's above and TIGs) the difference looks quite striking. Hard to tell if maybe I just have the wrong lighting but I suspect I have received a Kenner rifle with my Glasslite Chewie ?? |

| Hi Oli Here are more pics. GL at the top. The Kenner is more black than the GL and is very noticeably so in hand. When held up to the light together the GL has a very noticeable silverish to it. Maybe a little like a zuckuss figure if this makes sense....but, you can definitely tell them apart in hand (mine at least) I think yours looks too black imo. Did it come direct from Brazil or well known source? |

| Thanks Lee, so I'm starting to feel that I have a Kenner zuckus rifle with my GL Chewie!
No it wasn't from Brazil, the collector is reasonably well known though.
I'm inclined to query it with him!! |

| Was it sold as a Glasslite figure with Glasslite gun? |

| The description said "rare chewbacca glasslite variant 100% original". I would expect the accessory to be Glasslite too otherwise it should be noted in the description! |

| Hey Oli sorry about the Rifle. I'm dealing with the same seller right now and must admit I'm a bit disappointed with the customer service from him. For the amount of money spent on these items you'd think he could send a simple reply to my 4, no 5 messages asking when my item would be shipped. Sorry if that bothers any of you that are friends with him..... and yes, I understand he had a lot of items to send, and he wrote to be patient in his adds, but I still think that's no excuse for not replying weeks (almost a month) after he collected my money. I know others agree with me also because I've spoken with them. Sorry for my rant : ( -Steve |

| Surprise, surprise.... just got an email from him saying my items were shipped out weeks ago. That email would have been nice before though.... |
