I'd do it, but I'm a bit of a computer tard really, so probably not the best choice, I can make Indiana Jones style animated travel maps though to use. |

Just an idea bout the maps... I think an easy way to do it would be using Google Maps Engine Lite. Create a new map and then share it. The sharing can be set to allow editors to add new editors. So the idea is, you start the map and then add the person who has TIGGY now. When that person sends it to his new destination, they add the email address of the next person as a collaborator. They then edit the map showing where TIGGY went and when they ship him off again, they add the next person's email address. Rinse and repeat. The owner could remove people that don't have TIG at any time to prevent accidents on it optionally. This method would make the map live on its own with little to no admin work. Displaying it could be done with a normal link to the map or depending on how much 'integration' is wanted, whomever works on the site could wedge it in via an iframe or a phpbb mod. But a simple external link would be easiest to implement. FWIW: I was tinkering to see if it was viable and here is the test map I put up. No real points of interest, just a proof of concept. MAP LINKAgain, just a thought. cheers |

| What I like about PT's idea is that the map would be drawn by the whole community, not just one person. And what I like about Alexander's idea is Indiana Jones. I prefer the comunity thing in the end. Other opinions, ideas? |

| OK, how about this: https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?pli=1&mid=zbxHSuAPjo1Q.kTPHsfGivMUw I used the following input: 1 DUTCHESS COUNTY 07/06/2012, DARTHBERIZING 2 LAS VEGAS 07/12/2012, DARTHBERIZING 3 BELGIUM 07/26/2012, STARGEEZER 4 PROVENCE (SOUTH FRANCE) 08/014/2012, ARTOO_DETOUR 5 YANTAI 09/02/2012, DR DENGAR 6 SHIJIAZHUANG 09/07/2012, DR DENGAR 7 SWEDEN 04/20/2013, A_NEW_HOPE John, Dennis, Paul, Perra, if you have more precise locations, please post here or PM me and I will adjust them. Thereafter I will share the map with StarWizz, so he can add his position, and from then on we follow the list of List Master. The only thing is that you have to have a Google account so the map can be shared with you. Well in case you don't, I guess you can just PM me and I can add the data for you and share the map to the next in line. |

| DrD, The initial sharing seems off. I am getting an error '403 Forbidden' when trying to view the map so it should just be a quick tweak. I believe you just need to set the main sharing so that it is visible to anyone, not just invited viewers or editors. 1- click share 2 - click change 3 & 4- change first entry on sharing to "Public on the Web - anyone can view" 5 - set access so that sign in is not required - that means only people added later for editing will actually need to have a Gmail account but everyone else can view without being logged in Click Save, etc... and that should do it. |

| Roger that!!! All good now!
Oh and well done on the initial data! Good start and I can't wait to see him in action.
I don't recall if you can embed images with each 'pin' or point on the map, but that would be very cool if that is still a feature.

| Tiggy's holiday pictures in Sweden (a_new_hope) and The Netherlands (StarWizz) have been added to overview post on page 1. Rijkevorsel, Karlstad, and The Hague were added to the map as well. I found out a few times, that it is easy to make mistakes while entering new locations. So maybe the best thing is that I maintain the map for Tiggy? BTW: Is there a way to get rid off the map's legend in the top left corner, it is covering a lot from the map right now. |
