So It's not exactly an original thought, but figuring our love for SciFi and SW means we probably cross more paths. I'm sitting here watching Warehouse 13 and gotta figure I am not alone.

So, here's my TV list. Am I right that I think about 90% of people like ALL these? Some are new, some not. Some SciFi, some not.

Warehouse 13
Dr. Who
Torchwood
Firefly
Brimstone
Arrested Development
Scrubs
Mad Men
Through the Wormhole
Pawn Stars
American Restoration
American Pickers

Game of Thrones
Dexter
American Horror Story

I actually haven't heard of about half of these...lol out of those I have heard of I only watch a few of them. I enjoy watching reruns of scrubs. Pawn Stars is ok but I am not a big fan of it, same with american pickers. Although I really enjoy watching American Restoration on occasion. I guess I just like watching all that stuff going from "old" looking to "new" looking. O yes and the couple of times I have seen through the wormhole I have been fascinated by it. Here are some others I watch...just thought I would add to the list out of curiosity.
Modern Marvels
Mythbusters
Leverage

When I worked at home online before the .com but (mine came in 2006) I had a huge list of shows, but now it's been reduced. Most are watched now on DVR, besides Sunday night. When the world gets shut out.... esp., when Dexter is on. (used to be that way when 24 was on, NO ONE TALK TO ME! Smile )

But again, most are DVR'd

Big Bang Theory
True Blood
Dexter
Breaking Bad
The Walking Dead (how I feel now, can't sleep at 4:45 a.m.)
Weeds
Seinfeld reruns
Hollywood Treasure
Decoded
Homeland
Bomb Patrol
An Idiot Abroad
Eastbound & Down
Comic Book Men

I haven't heard of most of those tbh. That Warehouse 13 looks ok, i'm gonna download a few episodes.
Currently i'm enjoying most of the big budget [short run] series that are around, like Game of Thrones, Falling Skies, The Walking Dead, The River etc.... That's my kind of show. Must admit i do enjoy Survivor too. Btw...i think the last Torchwood was hugely disappointing.

I was really surprised at how few of the shows on Johns list I've never watched ever. I've seen Pawn Stars and American Pickers and enjoy both of those. I really had to think to come up with shows that i go out of my way to watch regularly.

Bones
Criminal Minds
Gene Simmons Family Jewels
Alfred Hitchcock Presents
And when I finally get around to buying the DVD set, The Twilight Zone

Thats about it. I hear more shows than I watch. My wife always has the TV on as she works online from home. It's amazing how many shows I know by heart but have never seen the actual images on the screen because i'm doing my own thing in the dining room sitting here chatting with you fine folks. I spend more time reading than anything else. And I'm a big movie watcher.

I'm surprised no one else has listed 'The Big Bang Theory'. It's as funny as Seinfeld, and for me, that's saying A LOT. The cast is perfect together and their love of comics, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.... just a perfect show.

Tried to watch Warehouse 13, but it never got to me.
Dr. Who I just don't like, it's too random for me. Razz
Never seen Torchwood.
Firefly showed lots of promise, but that one had a too random plot for me as well.
I really liked the first seasons of Scrubs.
Pawn Stars is good entertainment, fun to see what comes up.

I don't have any tv channels, so I mostly download my shows.
Currently watching:
Big Bang Theory, excellent, this show makes me laugh so hard!
River Monsters with Jeremy Wade, see it!
Bizarre Foods
Game of Thrones, not liking it too well, but still watching to see if something awesome happens.... Rolling Eyes
Walking Dead, first season was very nice, second not so much.
Been through Farscape not too long ago, good entertainment, better than Firefly imo.

How about cartoons?
Currently watching:
Legend of Korra (Avatar: The last airbender sequel)
New Thundercats

Yeah, the only good part of The Walking Dead season 2 was the last couple of episodes.... when the hundreds showed up. The mid-season ending made my cry like a 10 year old. Sophia is spot on for my 11-year old, so I could relate to her... being a parent and trying to protect my two little girl. Then seeing what happened, I lost it. I had to turn in my man card and I will NEVER watch that episode again. I almost stopped watching the show after I was so heartbroken. Crazy huh? It's just a TV show!

What a sweetheart! She is going to be a heart-breaker. I have a 7 year old girl who is a budding Goth Girl and into Nightmare Before Christmas and a 9 year old boy who is into Lego and Minecraft.

Most of what I watch is movies but "Big Bang Theory" is my running favorite for TV at the moment too. Like aussiejames my TV time was usurped years ago when my rugrats came along. Fortunately I've always been something of a cartoon junkie so as well as initiating them with vintage Bugs Bunny/Warner Bros cartoons we've been able to enjoy years of Spongebob, Fairly Oddparents, Phineas & Ferb, Misadventures of Flapjack, and more recently, Adventure Time and The Regular Show which I absolutely LOVE (it has a perfect blend of absurdist humor and surrealism).

While I'm definitely a science fiction junkie I'm also a very harsh critic and even if I do like a show I rarely get a chance to see it anyway because of the aforementioned rugrat issue compounded with whatever it is the Mrs wants to watch (usually the Food Network or Travel Channel). Doctor Who is about the only show I make a concerted effort to watch (just found out my 10 year old nephew is a fan of the show--I have an ally at last!!). Torchwood is a great idea for a show but I think it has the potential to be better if they would just get Russell T. Davies out the way--I am eternally grateful to the man for resurrecting Dr Who but I think his scripts are the worst they've had and I'm glad he turned it over to Steven Moffat. Speaking of Moffat if you haven't seen Jekyll or Sherlock I highly recommend them both.

We watched Dexter for 3 seasons and True Blood for 3 seasons and really enjoyed them but they both seem to have worn out with us. I really liked Boardwalk Empire but I was overruled so I haven't seen anything past about 3/4 through the first season. We also watch The Walking Dead but I have found the show extremely uneven and feel that it took a gigantic dump on itself with most of the second season--they have a lot of damage control to do to win me back.

Otherwise my TV viewing interest is usually piqued by whatever WWII related documentary is on.

I think a lot of guys here would really enjoy "Spaced". It's a TV show that ran on the BBC starring Simon Pegg & Nick Frost. It's before "Shaun of the Dead" & chock of Star Wars, comic book, pop culture references. It's hilarious.

I second the interest in Spaced. It's a really fun and funny show. I would love to hang out with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost some day (if they haven't gone too Hollywood).

It's interesting about Family Guy/American Dad. The impression I get is that people are either a Family Guy person or an American Dad person but rarely both. And no one watches The Cleveland Show Razz

Hey Wolff I totally agree with you about the Walking Dead show, the dialogue drives me nuts but the special effects are top notch. On the flip side of that, I cannot recommend the Walking Dead comics enough! They are awesome, a million times better then the show.

Im a huge Zombie fan....I think I will to look for the comics.

The most problems of zombie horror is: stupid actors, dialogs and story. Walikng dead 1 was good IMO. I loved to have 10 or more hours of accepatble zombie horror!!!! Yeah...Im really really happy with "acceptable" when it comes to "zombies"....most stuff is so low....I would ban it from IMDB....LOL

Yes, most of the zombie shows/movies are stupid.... I mean, there is an EASY solution to getting AWAY from the damn things. It's call ISLANDS! Hell, here in the middle of Southern Oklahoma, we have islands on our lakes! Lake Murray outside Ardmore is a large lake that has 4-5 islands. If you are close to the east coast/west coast... get a boat, get supplies (lots of ammo/guns) and get to an ISLAND! Then only when you have to, go back for more supplies.

Easy answer and no running, no being eaten, unless zombies can walk for miles on the ocean or lake floors!

Still, I loved 28-days later and love The Walking Dead.

And also... when Rick found himself in a freaking M1A1 Abrams tank, even a fool can load and fire a projectile. I've done it and I was a freaking 88M in the Army! (PLS driver, SAW gunner). He could have taken out blocks of zombies by loading and firing the tank rounds (usually hold 40+ rounds). All you have to do is get out of the way of the kickback of the gun itself, or it can remove your head from your shoulders Smile
