Nice pick ups Yeah-sus .

The bag came in red aswell and there are another one with other art work aswell . In red and Blue aswell .
They are UK made after ROTJ . On the card that was attcaced to the bag . There are also a drawing from ESB . So don't be alarmed over the 1981 date.

I have an unused red bag for sale in my thread if you fancy more bags Very Happy

celebrate celebrate wow congrats Jawa.57 !! That Takara Transformer is an absolute bargain for 8euros - even if it is missing a few bits and pieces.

I also picked up one of these fairly recently and it's easily one of my favourite X-Wing versions with all its cool transforming options.

have you had fun transforming it yet? cheers

A couple of packages arrived yesterday and today.

First was the vintage loose Droid Factory. I never owned one as a kid and the deal was too good to pass up, especially with the complete 3 legged R2.
I do have some questions about the R2. He seems to have been put together already and was broken apart. The ends of the connector pins still seem to be stuck inside. I shouldn't have a problem getting them out of the barrel, but the legs might be a different problem. If anyone has had this problem or might have any suggestions. Just let me know. I was thinking they may have to be drilled out?

The second & third boxes where nice lots of loose figures. Some of them look like they are in great shape. I will have to check them out later.

Great pics and pick-ups!

Love that background you used for your photos. Is it homemade or something from toy packaging?

Sorry for the late reply!

The background is from a Doctor Who set. It's used in a few sets, the only ones I can think of are the Toys 'R' Us exclusive six-packs, the 'Eleven Doctors' set, and the 11th Doctor's electronic TARDIS (exterior). Smile

Clint I'm pretty sure the connector pins are part of the R2 legs so you'll need to find new ones Sad

James is right about to have to look for other legs. But you can safely remove the pins that are broken from R2's body

For some reason most of the parts of this playset are made with some sort of rubberized plastic that can break easily or catch on dirt or yellow real quick and the r2 legs are bull legged most of the time because of that rubberized plastic. I had to buy 3 playsets to get just one decent pair of legs...

I had the same problem as you on one of the r2 i have received. i had to remove one of the broken pegs. It is easy to do.

Your latest vintage purchases. Volume 8 - Page 5 IMG_0616

You can easily find replacement legs on ebay, the hardest part to find with those r2's is the body with a decent sticker and the head. 99% of the time they are all damaged and shot to hell...

Do not use a drill, it may slip because you are nervous and you may damage your body and sticker.

instead insert a small flat screwdriver or anything else that is flat and just press-push the peg outwards.

Your latest vintage purchases. Volume 8 - Page 5 IMG_0627

Your latest vintage purchases. Volume 8 - Page 5 IMG_0632

dont worry like i said it is rubbery so it will come out, when it is on the outside of the body all you have to do is use a pair of nose pliers and carefully remove the peg... these were made to be remove and put back on several times so you wont really damage anything but also be very carefull to remove the peg straight out and not wobble it around to try to get it out, other wise it might or will make the hole bigger and any future legs you are gonna put on "may" be loose.
