| (it's nearly December!)It's coming up to that time of year again when TIG makes its annual review of our collecting achievements for 2012 and our collecting goals for next year!! How does everyone think they've done this year? Did you get most of the items you set out to get? Here are the previous threads to see what collecting goals you made to yourself last year These threads also give us a chance to see how long it's been since we've nagged Tim to do a limelight! Reflections On Your Collecting in 2011.... and Collection Goals For 2012 2010 Goals + Reflections On Your Collecting in 2010.... and Collecting Goals For 2011For newer members who were not here last year don't worry! You can make a new set of goals from today I'll go first then .... #1. for 2012 I said I'd try and finish the loose figure run! this I did not do. In fact I ended up selling some of my loose figures to concentrate more on goal #2.... #2. I said I'd continue with my X-Wing/LXWP focus! This I did!! making some very nice additions like my Takara MIB transforming X-Wing and a Palitoy 1st issue MIB XWng too plus lots of other cool XWingy bits n pieces!! This goal I will definitely carry through into 2013 !!! #3. I said I'd try and finish my run of Meccano Pif Gadget adverts Almost done!!! I just need 3 more adverts to complete the run - hopefully get these before the year is out #4. I also said I'd add more to my oddballs and SW related vinyl records run Not too bad - I picked up a few pieces here and there and will try and add more in 2013!! so for 2013: #1 Get more X-Wing stuff. #2 More oddball and vinyl records! #3 Might start another 'side' focus! Don't quite know what yet #4 Aim to get to Celebration Euro and meet some TIG buddies Your turn! Let's hear about your reflections for 2012 and your goals for 2013!

| From last year: 1. My main goal should be to catalogue everything I have, it was a daunting task a few years ago ( I didn't do it then !!) but that's going to be number one on my list - same as last year 2. Sell/trade my extras 3. Get all ROTJ characters MOC 4. I'll think about it EDIT - GET TIM TO DO A LIMELIGHT 5. Keep having fun & finding a bargain or two Well, #1. I failed dismally again but managed to get about half my loose variants photographed in the FOTW threads. I'd like to continue to get my stuff up on those threads. #2. OK I'm a hoarder maybe just maybe I'll thin down, trade my extras  #3. managed to get a few more MOC & will aim to complete the run as well as the MIM run always on the look out for cardbacks ( especially Ledy, went from almost half way to almost two thirds ) #4. enough said #5. The most important one " Keep having fun & finding a bargain or two " |

| My collecting goals fo 2012 were: 1. to work on building up a run of MOC MIM figures, preferably with Ledy accessories. So far, I have got 8 out of 13. 2. to start collecting loose Ledy figures. I currently have 10. The stand out pieces are my Jawa & Burgandy Squid (They still put a smile on my face everytime I look at them ). 3. to continue picking up bargain priced loose variants & the odd MOC. I've also been doing pretty well with this. Finances permitting, my goals for 2013 are: 1. to complete my MIM run. 2. to get at least 10 more loose Ledy including Han (Trench Coat) & Luke (Jedi). 3. keep my eyes open for those variant bargins. |

| Here were 2012s goals:
1. MORE BOOTLEGS!!!!
2. MORE IG-88 ITEMS!!!!!
3.Actually start on the vintage SW Marvel comics. I want to try and pick these up "in the wild". Meaning not online. In comic shops and where ever I can find them.
4. Model Trem IG-88.
5. Maybe pick up another coin or two.
Non-SW related collecting. Comics, comic figures, comic related collectables, comics, and comics. Oh yeah and Super Powers.
The short answer is I didn't really meet any of these goals. we became first time home owners in June and all collecting stopped for me for the year. Not because there wasn't money too spend there was just other places to spend it. I picked up more comics than anything. And I sold a bunch of stuff to help with house moving costs and such. My bootleg collection is being photographed and sold in the next little while and a big chunk of my other SW is being sold as well. I have other things that need to be looked after here first. But sometime in the next year I'd like to get back at some aspect of the hobby. Just not sure what yet.
So my goal for 2013 is:
To take a break and find my passion for some sort of vintage pursuit again. Tilll then I'll read a few comics and continue to be a pain in the ass around here. |

| My goal this year was or still is:
Get as much Kenner stuff that i can from the first Movie and complete my loose figure run.
Glad to say that i am sitting at 63 out of the 93 originals. The hardest part will be the last 17 of course and i plan on trying to get most of the droids and ewoks figures also.
second goal collect non kenner ANH stuff, like the topps cards and burger king glasses and read alongs etc.
I got the burger king set for ANH.
I got 3 complete 3 series. ( the cards at least )
I got some read alongs.
I got a full set of Kenner's coloring books and lots of other things.
Next Year's goals.
Pretty much going to be the same way.
trying to complete a loose set in high quality.
buying a few more read alongs ( sealed ones )
getting more cards and stickers and other other oddball stuff that comes along at a good price like original 12" and boxed vehicles etc...
Long term goal.
Getting: a DT luke, vinyl cape Jawa and the holly grail " early bird set and early bird certificate"
that's pretty much it.
i think i had a wonderful year and that is besides me collecting the new vintage stuff and other newer hasbro toys.... |

1.) Get down to that event in Florida this summer, meet a couple TIG cronies.
2.) Complete my loose local figure run (no variants...yet). I'm 11 figures shy of a complete set. This is proving to be a great challenge since the focus is to acquire all of the figures locally.
3.) Continue to do what has helped me be so successful finding items locally during 2011.
4.) Sell/trade all of my extras.
1.) CVI is one of the greatest adventures of my life. Can't say enough about it and I'm glad my friend Jeff and I decided to make the journey. We met a lot of great people that week. 2.) 6 figures shy. 3.) Smashed this goal and had some very nice finds in 2012. This one in particular being the most memorable: 4.) Sold/traded a couple of items at CVI, but certainly need to do more Goals for 2013: 1.) Continue the efforts on completing a last 17 MOC run. 2.) Knock off the remaining 6 needed to complete my loose run. 3.) Double the efforts on the local finds and continue to dig up pieces in the wild. 4.) Create a new focus after I complete either 1 or 2 5.) Sell off/trade my extras Cheers to a great year of collecting and spending time with TIG! |

For 2012:
- Giving my loose figures a proper display
- Focus on Lili Ledy items
- Lili Ledy
- Lili Ledy
- Lili Ledy
- ...and sometimes buy a nice off focus item which I can not resist

How did it go? #1: I managed to catalogue most of my loose figures in Excel and put them with numbered diplay stands in glass cabinets. For the moment everything is displayed randomly, so need to work on that next year. #2: The Lili Ledy loose collection was extended with some great figures like Burgundy Bib, Teebo, ESB Yoda, Max Reebo band. Big thanks to Ozio!!! #3: Most figures have their own entry in the Lili Ledy discussion thread now. https://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t2135-the-lili-ledy-discussion-thread#4: We finally got pics and vids of the former Lili Ledy factories and storage houses (to me this was one of the biggest highlights of 2012). https://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t319p75-lili-ledy-factory #5: A start was made with the collection of boxed Ledy items: a few rigs, and a Speederbike. #6: and I got a bit distracted by the PBP/POCH line this year.... All Javis'fault! Goals for 2013:#1 Survive the end of the Maya calender. #2 Get my figures a proper display. Thinking about those acrylic stairs right now. #3 Add a Ledy RR Fett or a 1978 R2. #4 Add one or two more boxed Ledy items. #5 Finish all the entries in the LL Discussion thread (Squid Head and Max Reebo are still missing) #6 Adding a few more POCH/PBP figures. #7 Hope to see some of you at Celebration Europe #8 Continue having good dicussions and fun here at TIG Cheers

| 2012 has been a bit of a tough year for me! With the birth of my baby daughter in January, my mother passing away in July, moving house twice, changing contracts twice and finally wife going back to work full time. I've found it hard to find as much time to collect or join in discussions as much as i would like to. Also I have had to downsized my variant collecting quite considerably to fund my interest in prototype pieces. On the positive side I have been able to tick of 2 or 3 grail pieces of my list and have met some great new friends along the way through! For 2013 I'm aiming to get life back to normality and get more involved again. I'd like to try and add some more pieces to my prototype collection, especially my POTF run and try to find another collecting focus, such as completing my Glasslite set. Fingers crossed for 2013 |

| Glad i contributed in the thread last year. Looking back at the goals i set for 2012, i don't think i managed to succeed many... Set goals for 2012: - I like to reduce my loose figure collection with 75%The first goal i achieved, i downsized my loose figure collection from about 200 figures down to less then 50 figures. - I like to finish the room with my MOC collection set up as like to have it.Well i still don't have a final display because i have kept adding moc's and also mainly because off the goal below that i couldnt complete.... - Finish my 20/21 back Cardback run to make the framing i have in mind for almost a year now. This goal i really wanted to complete, but finding all those special cardbacks is even more harder then i thought, i am working on this set for more then 2 years now and still have loads to go... (chack out my WTB thread ) - Work on my coin setI did add a few more coins to my collection, this is not my main gaol, but i keep on building it up slowly. - Add an original MOTU Skeletor MOC.Bought a Skeletor, sold it again and also sold my Motu He-Man Moc, so the collection is 0% Motu now and 100% Star Wars. last and not least, try to spend less money on the Hobby Big Fail, well not exactly as all my latest purchases where all funded by selling stuff from the collection, but still money keeps on rolling collecting wise... Goals for 2013: - Again, Finish my 20/21 back Cardback run to make the framing i have in mind for almost 2 years now. - Like to finish my SW set from the 21 first characters on SW cards in 2013. So far i have 17. Still need R5-D4, Snaggletooth, Walrusman and Boba Fett. - Add some more coins so the set comes above the 40 coin mark. - Create a limelightable set up in my collection room. - Meet many off you guys at Celebration Europe in Essen. |

| Well 2012 was an interesting year for me.
I guess my big purchase was TIG ! I'm really hoping to make this site into a real RS contender and think the team and the members can make it happen.
Focus wise, I picked up a 12bk Clipper, DT Ben (which is gone already lol) , Carded Uzay, Ledy "El Retorno" MOC, Ledy carded Jawa, Black Polish Snowtrooper, 2 MOC Harberts and other bits as well. Overall I can say I'm happy with those. Outside of SW I finally got my non-toy grail of the 1948 Tribune misprint newspaper as well.
Also got two amazing collections unearthed which was really fun to be a part of as well!!
As for 2013, I'm not really sure what it'll bring but that's been my way since 2008 and it's work out so far! |

| 2012 - Mecc Fetts and variants (LL, PBP, POCH).... which turned upside down into Kenner (first 20) prototypes.... ( thanks a lot AJ : ) ) 2013- (First 20) Prototypes BUT still VERY interested in the variants. My collection is small compared to others but I really have enjoyed learning about the variants. I hope to keep finding prototypes to add to my first 20 if it takes 1figure/1year at a time : ) Best wishes to you guys in your own adventures, -Steve ps- also, hope I have provided any/some info to your questions as I have been lucky enough to have received from the TIG crew this past year : ) |

| well my goals for this year were
1. finally finish my loose set
2. Potf coins , wanted to get to 50
3. Build/buy display cases
4. start a little focus
so looking at what I got to
1. finished my loose set , kinda . Still need to pick up a few of the variations I wanted ( Luke Bespin Brown hair , Ben White hair , Han hot molded legs , Leia Bespin crew neck ... ) and a couple I need to upgrade still , but outside of that I have the whole set now .
2. Kinda hit a wall on the POTF coins , I did add about 15 coins this year , but didn't hit the 50 goal and it's been months since I have been able to add anything new
3. Bought some shelves and a couple cases , but still want to build something for my vintage loose
4. Started a Gamorrean Guard focus , I found I had all the loose variations and the coin so I started picking up some of the carded figures and I am at 5 right now
so goals for next year
Add a few more coins to my set , ideally ATAT , Yak face , Anakin , Bib and Chirpa and that would finish up cat 1-3 for me and half of 4
Add a couple non US Gamorrean MOC's to my shelf
get those last few variants
collect all 21 bell
and add at least one 12 back
also going to try to keep better track of what I am spending , I don't think I did too bad this year . I really tried to only spend from my pay pal account and that was all from stuff I had sold , but I know I did make a 2 bigger purchases with money orders and a couple locally in cash . I think I withdrew from pay pal for those but I can't remember . Either way I think I am about even on the year . I sold off a lot of extras and non-star wars stuff I had lost interest in . Also had a couple things go for much more than I thought they would and scored a few deals .

| Well, heres my goals from 2012 2012 Goals. To get at least one of every Polish Unart bootleg figure out there, maybe some color variants if the prices stay right. Continue to add to the oddball collection and maybe have enough material to think about the site. Laughing Go on a vintage hunting road trip up North this fall and meet up with a few guys along the way. Have a normal display for my items instead of the way they are now. Non-SW goals: Finish off several sets of comics Ive been working on this year and maybe add a few key #1 issues Find more Superhero bootlegs, Polish prefered. Add a few more coins to the collection (didnt get any of that done period) New goals for 2013. Sad to say there are no goals for me. In the coming months, whats left of my collection will be posted up for sale here, bootlegs and oddball stuff. I plan on making a major decision early next year and will need the cash to see it happen. No I havent lost my mind completly and decided to get married. But I do plan on re-locating to a new area and whatever I can start putting back will be put to good use to pay off bills and nest egg for when it comes down to moving day. On top of that, I do believe my fav hobby for the past 1-2 years has come to a halt also and might be liquidated to help out. Yhea Im talking about the comic collection. Right now I got too many priorities I need to worry about. Life has taken a change for the better and Im rolling with it. |

| Hey guys. I don't think I ever really set any collecting goals for 2012. As the few here who know me I rarely pop up anymore. This year has been very busy for me and collecting has taken a side note to everything else going on (moving, getting married, moving again, now buying a house).
I still managed to work in a few things here and there and am now only 1 figure away from my last 17 run started in 2010. As far as my bootleg collection goes - it's been downsized greatly. Only holding onto a few select Polish figures and all of my AT AT Driver related bootleg items.
2013 goals - As far as collecting, get an EV9D9 to complete the last 17 (if I don't get it by year end). I would love to get 1 foreign AT AT Driver MOC. Already have a few Palitoy's but want a Tri or Harbert... But I'll settle for what I can afford and be perfectly happy with it.
Personal goals are to get everything closed properly on our house in 2/2013 and move (again)!
Cheers guys! |

| In 2011 I wrote: I am going to just work on finishing off both my loose figure set's this year, as money is going to be a little tighter I am going to try and get all the ROTJ figures I need As for loose figures from ROTJ I dont think I am any farther on than this time last year And in between all that I will be starting my Bossk focus. I got this started with a few items of the best bounty hunter but as per normal I got a bit side tracked Also I will be trying to sort out a better display area, when I'm happy with that then maybe a limelight. As for the display area its now smaller than it was this time last year
In review of 2012, even if I did not meet any of my set out goals, I think it has been a good year in my collecting hobby, other than buying a few nice bits the highlight of the year was making a few new friends along the way, who I can talk baseball with as well as Star Wars.
As for 2013 I am going to work on my small collection of Foreign MOC, and my loose collection, but I would rather buy a few items of high quality than a load of lesser quality, as for the display area I have a few ideas that I think will look sweet but you lot will have to wait and see them. |

| Every year Im searching my goals from last year...just to recognize I never wrote them down! I had to check old limelights to get a faint impression......so 2011 was a very good year whereas 2012 was very frustrating! I had a minimum of 800 euros lost or broken while shipment (or wasnt described as broken from seller), I guess it was way more, but dont wanna know exactly. 2012 was a year of dissapointments in collection (for me personally). I spend much time getting my Poch and LL guides on which costed me time finding figures for my own collection The bootleg market went crazy on figures Im searching , the Poch market went crazy etc I bought a lot of weapons this year to complete my loose stuff, still missing a lot and missed the best deals. At least I got my Takara Set completed this year! Anyway.....my main goals stay the same since years: - Complete TT Yoda - Uzay R2 - LL Bib burgundy cape in acceptable condition (which Im working on at the moment ). Hopefully I dont buy the third fake! - find a C-8 Meccano DSD - Polish Leia original Other goals are: - Upgrade my glasslite set! - Upgarde a few Ledys - complete all three LL Jawas! - get on with weapons and accessories (especially to help the gunnery ) - get my hungarian set completed (with weapons) - maybe find an Uzay DSD and Headman Poch and PBP are off the list for 2013...LOL...well PBP is complete anyway! ...and most important: Get my loose set sorted (half of them half to go in 2013!) Good 2013 to all! Happy hunting! |

| My collecting goals for 2012 & 2013 remain unchanged, I want to finish Wolff's COO guide. At the start of 2012, I was missing around 125 figures & as of today I'm down to missing 37. So for 2013, my goal is to get this finished & then move on to another area of SW collecting. The best part of the hobby for me in 2012 was all the new people I've met online, specifically here on TIG. This place has become my SW "home" & I never tire of hearing about what other people collect & reading the info that is shared here. For me, this was a great year collecting-wise. Thanks guys, I appreciate ya! |

2012
1. Find that DT Luke baggie
2. Luke: find some more foreign items and it'd be great for another preproduction item like a cromalin or another proof.
3. Finally complete that Droids coin set with a Boba.
4. Have a blast at CVI and try to save up some spending money.
5. Finally get some pieces framed that I've been meaning to do.
2012 was certainly a good year for me and I feel like I accomplished most of what I set out to do. 1. Got my DT Luke baggie and at a much better price than I thought I'd have to pay. 2. Managed to find quite a few foreign pieces that I'd been wanting for awhile now, a couple miscards, spray ops error, and a loose Ledy. There's also one more MOC that I'm still finalizing the deal on. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything on the preproduction front. 3. Got my Fett coin, but also picked up the Droids POTF C-3PO version and an unproduced Mungo Baobab. 4. CVI was a lot of fun and also with that saved up money, I bought a POTF logo concept piece. 5. Finally got my Revenge Force Lightsaber Proof sheet framed, but didn't get to one other piece I had planned on. 20131. Frame that mentioned piece I didn't get to, finally 2. Unproduced mailaway POTF Coin Album 3. Finish my loose droids set that I unexpectedly started working on this year 4. Continue searching out foreign LJ pieces and again hope to add a new preproduction piece 5. Fill up my Force Lightsaber display 6. Tweak my display room a bit and probably a couple more visits to IKEA. |
