biker scout

TAIWAN ; this i think because , i have loads of them almost every bs i find has the taiwan coo

HONG KONG: these i only have a couple , and theireare two differnt ones i have , one on the leg that sias made in hongkong, the other on the boots , i think this one is the more rare ione of the two

LEDY ; i put them before the macau because , ive seen so many more ledy's availeble then the macua, as far as price , the go at least dubble in value then , the taiwan and hong kong , and i think 30/35 usd is about the right price to pay for one

MACUA; now this one i have only seen availeble twice ones for 120 euro , the other was for sale her by wolf , wich i picked up for 100 euro ( thanks again bro for thinking of me ) i think there are two different coo types of this one , but dont know wich is more rare

PBP ; never seen one availebale , and dont know much about them so in my eyes the most rare

Ooh a tough choice, time for debate on this one, i would say between the 2 Ledy Fetts or even the rarest, we dont have any pix of a loose one (as yet) but see what others think on this

and don't forget painted dart / unpainted dart on the tri-logo Fetts. I would say the painted dart would be rarer, but I'm far from a Fett expert. Both my tri fetts (painted & unpainted knee) have unpainted darts and most that I see on ebay have unpainted darts...

Rest of the order looks good, and wouldn't know where to put the Harbert!!

Scout order looks good too Jimmy

EDIT: WOW - just saw the 8 page Fett thread - I'm sure someone already mentioned the painted/unpainted darts there...off to read through it now! Smile

Lee made his list out of the market value...thats why I decided to make two list: one for rarity, one for market price. These can differ heavily. You should decide if you want value rarity, or existence rarity!!!

BOBA FETT:

The no coo "meccano" Fett is of course MOST rare......definetly rarer then a Ledy Fett. I would also think its rarer then a Ledy Fett loose rocket...but maybe they are equal!

BIKER SCOUT:

The rarest is clearly the PBP! Maybe because the Macao one is more known and also longer known. The price on this is I think also higher. Also its more difficult to find the PBP one in good shape. They are mostly in bad shape...maybe because of the different material used.

A few more Boba Fett facts:

If you will try to get every Tri Fett paint variant each with split and single scar, there are 8 different Tri Fetts....plus one if you also decide to collect belt variations. I have my favorite on these which is I think most rare...but shhhhhhhh, Im still searching that one Wink

The Harbert one looks like a normal HK one to me......so dont have too much hope for something special!!!

For each figure, you can say the most common is:
HK (for USA and Europe if there is no Taiwan version)
Taiwan (for Europe....i.e. Taiwan Bibs or Taiwan ERGs are most common here )

Rarer to find are no coo versions. But most of the so called rare no coo/Tri/PBP versions are not really rare at all IMO:
Dengar, Greedo, Han Hoth, Stromtrooper etc. can be easily found every day!

Some smooth deleted or scared figures are very very rare. depends on where they appeared. By now I would say:

Palitoy (some HTF...for most you only have to be patient)
Lili Ledy (some are HTF, nearly all are HTF with original and correct accessories, plus there is a never seen Ledy hype at the mo)
Top Toys (exept luke and yoda they were once very easy to locate in Argentina....I nearly all bought them MOC under 40 USD and unpacked them......shhhhhh I know...that was stupid)
PBP and Meccano (very HTF....and with PBP I dont mean Greedo, Hardtorso Stormtrooper, Snag scar, Walrusman etc.....the common ones are normally also appeared in baggies, Tri cards etc...)
POCH/PBP and TT Luke/Yoda (most rare)

A lot of PBP/POCH figures are damn hard to track down. A few examples only exist 3 or 4 times IN THE WHOLE F****** WORLD!!

lol!

(When my guide is finished I think more people will track down barely unknown variants....we will see in a few years which ones are the rarest Smile )

Absolutely. You see lots of fixed rocket LL Fetts for sale (one sold last night for around $60 plus postage).

The mec/dark blue/grey is way the rarest to find/spot. I'm still waiting for one myself.

I had been looking for a pbp BS for around 4 years and finally managed to get one just a few weeks ago Cool I have only seen one or two for sale previously over the years and more macau's certainly have been available for sale - maybe twice as many that i have seen. They are both very tricky to spot on ebay auctions.

The rarer PBP's are the ones i am always on the look out for - Ledy's i can take/leave them. There are loads out there - i enjoy the search for pbp's more Smile

Rebel Commando

Hong Kong Painted Face: To me this is the most common variant out there.

China Molded Face: I'm not sure if this one is any harder to find than the others, but it's definitely easier to notice. I think that's why it's easier to find.

China Painted Face: This one took me awhile, just because 99% of the painted face Rebel Commando's out there are HK.

No COO Painted Face: Just like the China Painted face, this one is a bit tricky to find as well. I think this one and the China painted face are probably interchangeable.

This is what I mean with: where you come from.

I have had about 35 Rebel Commandos in my life...only one was with HK coo....the rest where china dudes painted and molded and no coo......all three equally appeared here.....funny!

A couple of the original 12 figures I would be curious on the rarity COO/Variant order?????

- Regular (non sensorscope) R2-D2
- Stormtrooper
- Darth Vader
- Obi-Wan Kenobi

Especially any info on the rarity of the Dark Blue Variant??? I have one, and have only come across a couple online... whether it be eBay, RS, etc.

Most common /easiest to get first..

All the various Hong Kong 2 line and 3 line variants (approx 6 or so known) can be picked up fairly easily
2 x different China coo's - sellers will try to get more but you can pick them up easily like the HK's
No coo tri soft torso 2 line coo
No coo tri hard torso 2 line coo
Lili ledy
Top toys (possibly swap places with below )
PBP
Takara Japan coo way out there as the most rare/expensive

I don't think i've missed any Cool

Wolff

The TT you can get fairly easily carded - loose is harder to come by imo

The PBP doesn't crop up that often that i've seen hence rarer/as rare as TT

The Takara may be easier to buy carded - a carded one went for around 150gbp last week on ebay. Would you seriously want
to take him off the card at that price for a loose collection? Not sure that i would. Thing is - if a loose one came up for sale on RS i think it would be at least 150gbp...

Just my thoughts...

Lee,

I would definatley unpack him...you shure it was the Japan coo one??? Not all carded Takara Stromies are the ones with the Japan coo...I think only evary 4th...you can tell from the number of the Takara sticker.

150 GBP is defrinately to low....I would own one if it only was about this price...the reach near 3oo € at the mo IMO!

Let's try R2....

Most common/easiest to get first

Made in Hong Kong
Hong Kong
Taiwan blue panel
Hong Kong dark blue panel (earlybird release but some later ones have dark blue panels as well i believe)
Lili ledy (probably controversial to some not being rarer but they are fairly readily available albeit with very worn stickers - a minty one would be the rarest/most expensive imo)
Taiwan green panel - i love this variant - it doesn't show up that often
No coo - still need this one myself! (ebay sellers rarely show r2's coo so you have to be patient and ask sellers)
Takara wind up - if you want to include this in the list this is where it would be

Others may disagree with this - What do you think Wolff?

i dont know a taiwan green panel....sounds like discoloration...or???

Taiwan is often I think....I searched longer for a "only" HK version....maybe its exact the fact, that sellers dont picture coos from R2?????

otherwise I would agree...but IMO the takara wind up doesnt belong in this list! I hate this figure...ugly! Ha snothing to do with the original line Wink
