| What, no Leia Bespin! But did you catch that most, if not all, of the cards had about an inch of the cards cut off so that they would fit more inside that box?!?!?!?! I think that is what he was showing at one point. No punches on any of the ones I saw. I'll bet that affected the price big time and I am sure the guy that cut them is wishing he simply used a bigger box!!! WOW... thanks for sharing. cheers! |

| Jay, I didn't notice it on all of them however I did notice it when he pointed it out on wicket. I was going to watch it again to see if the others had been cut, but I figured if they had he would have pointed it out. I sure wish I could make finds like this. |

| There was a discussion recently on FB about the production of figures in two separate factories. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Variationcollectorsworldwide/permalink/313381272192790/ It originally started as as discussion about a MIM Vader MOC |

| Yeah, I remember that thread vaguely ..... From a MIM Vader discussion - is there a difference between a MIM vader and a Lili Ledy Vader once taken from the card? - it developped into a discussion about two Mexican factories producing the toys in the 80s: 1) The Lili Ledy factory in Tlanepantla 2) The General Mills factory in Tijuana According to one theory Factory 1 produced the Lili Ledy figures on LL cards. Whereas Factory 2 produced the MIM figures, (as well as some of the vehicles for the non Mexican market, e.g.Tatooine Skiff, A-Wing). Accordingly, differences between the Lili Ledy and MIM Vaders were to be expected, as these were produced in different factories. Then it was pointed out that small differences between figures could be indicative for figures being produced in Factory 1 (Lili Ledy Vader) or Factory 2 (MIM Vader). Personally, I was not so convinced, as these small to batch variations also occur for figures which never appeared on MIM cards (e.g. Leia Boushh, Prune face, C-3PO). In these three examples we must be looking at batch to batch variations from within one factory, assuming these exclusive Lili Ledy figures were not manufactures at different locations, but just in one plant, the Lili Ledy factory in Tlanepantla. Off course in case of the figures which were released on both Lili Ledy and MIM cards (Vader, Paploo etc.) the subtle differences between figures can be indicative for production taking place in different factories, but based upon the three picture examples posted above (Prune Face, C-3PO, Leia Boussh), I am just not so convinced, and we might as well look at batch to batch variations taking place within one factory.
The last thing posted; Do we know when the Lili Ledy factory was closed down? And were MIM cards still released after that date? If yes, that would be a strong argument that another factory was indeed involved in producing MIM figures. The discussion abruptly ended then... Pity, maybe we can continue it here, with the advantage we can easily recover it in the future. |

| As some of you may know, I'm looking to complete my basic Ledy set this year (I'll chase variants later). With regards to Klaatu Skiff Guard, if I were given the choice between painted & non painted hood, which is the harder to get, or are they equally abundant? |

| Not sure if any of you guys were aware, or keeping up with the topic. But the ol' Black Wampa seems to have been the topic of interest over on RS as of late! Still brings a chuckle to me every time it pops up!

| Thanks for the heads up. Too funny indeed. My response: The black Wampa is as real as its surrounding Star Wars universum.
Its existence depends on how much you wanna believe in it.

Not entirely asure about that, but my guess is that the non painted hood is a bit more rare. |

The unpainted hood is easier to find in without paint damage ...but in all seriousness finding a nice black one is hard, I think I ungraded 3 times to get a near mint example. |
