| Welcome Mike, I don't venture back down to S. Wales that often anymore (only to see family) but I am originally from that area. I work in engineering too, but Oil & Gas.
There are some nice folks here who are full of advice. I'm planning on completing a loose set too, but the variant bug is already giving me scope creep. |

| Thanks all for the greetings!
Craig T - Not originally from S Wales but made the move 15 years ago and never looked back. Trying to avoid the variants route but is proving difficult... |

| Ahoy-hoy. Novice vintage collector here. Back in the 90's I collected POTF2, but never was serious about vintage items. Figured they were too expensive. Now, I'm into it, thanks to the 40th anniversary black series that made me want to pick up a vintage set of the first 12, and wow! It makes me wish I had invested in the 90's. But, I've gone well beyond the first twelve at this point to the first 21 and onward, with playsets and vehicles as well. And, now, variant figures. I'm not focused at all, as you might be able to tell. Anyway, I'm a fiend for information when I get involved with something, so I will likely ask a lot of questions |

| Hi, Tina Marie. Can you take pictures of the items? Some of what you are saying is familiar, but most not. So, need some pictures to know what we're talking about What these items may sell for will depend on condition (collectors can be extremely picky and you might be surprised at the flaws some of us can find), if they are complete with correct accessories, and just the general desirability of the items. Also, it will depend on how quickly you want the money. Getting top dollar can take time. If you want things faster, you might be able to sell the lot quickly as a whole, but you won't get maximum value. There are a lot of ins and outs, but its a good group of people to look to for help. And there's a forum here for buying and selling right off. Just ask questions and people here will help, so that you can educate yourself and get the most out of what you have. Anyway, start with pictures, please |

| Name: Chip Age: 47 Single/Married: Divorced..lol Residence:Florida, USA Occupation: Air Conditioning Repair Specialist Kids: nada Pets: Dog Reason(s) you love Star Wars: Been around it most of my life. Saw the first one at a drive in for my 7th birthday and I was hooked. How did you get here?: Searching out info on collectibles Collecting Focus: figures/weapons/accessories Character Focus: Collecting interest: Looking For: Help with placing value on collection.
Hello to all. I have been dragging around about 5 boxes of toys that I've had all my life. I was figuring with the new movies out that it may cause an increase in popularity enough that I may be able to get rid of this stuff finally. The condition of alot of it has degraded from heat as it has been in storage units. I had alot of the original boxes for some things but the thing of it is, I had that stuff given to me to play with. I wasnt thinking of condition and future value. I had so much fun with those toys and alot of them look it too...lol. I'm hoping that some of it may still hold some value. I was bad about allowing the weapons to get eaten by our dogs and cats so I wrote to Kenner and they sent me bags of weapons and accessories on 2 or three occasions. I see that the weapons have value in themselves so maybe I could make a few bucks from those. I really got confused when I see float testing and uv light tests. I figured damn this is a whole different thing that I have no experience in and I need help so here I am...lol.
Any help would be appriciated or guidance of any kind. |

| Name: Fito Age: 45 Status: Married Residence: Buenos Aires, Argentina Occupation: Graphic Designer / Baker Kids: 2 Pets: A dog, a turtle and a parrot Reasons you love SW: I saw A New Hope when I was 6 and knew from that very moment sci-fi and fantasy would be the Force in my life. How did you get here: Well... I was trying to sell a couple vintage SW figures and a guy asked me all of a sudden to send him pics showing the feet of the figures. Their bases to be more precise. The guy wanted to buy them immediately when he realized the ewoks and the luke jedi master had no holes. Of course I started investigating and that´s how I reached you guys. I guess I should thank him! Collecting Focus: All alien / bootyhunter figures Character Focus: Boba Fett and Gamorrean Guard Collecting interest: Artbooks and Power of the Force collection Looking For: Help with placing value on collection. Hello everybody! I decided to get rid of a bunch of old SW figures of mine that was keeping for my kids -since they had absolutely no interest on them- and contacted someone who knew a lot more than I about rare versions. Thanks to him, and to you specially, I realized I have three or four of these "special" edition figures. I still want to sell them, but I´m willing to know how much would it be fair to ask for... |

| Where would be the best place to post the pics of the toys I had mentioned? I will have some time this weekend and plan to try and photograph what I have available.
Also, does anyone make reproduction parts nowadays for some of the larger toys like the falcon, x-wing, snowspeeder and such? I know mine are in need of some TLC.
Thanks guys |

| Hi, you can start your own thread with pictures of your collection here: https://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/f6-vintage-star-wars-limelightsOur forum was initially set up as an easy way to exchange information in the fight against reproduction so any 'TLC' with repro parts is not welcome. ( Do as you wish but it would be like asking Hells Angels how to fit a Honda engine in your Harley ) |
