Weird. I have a vintage SW question.

A friend of mine recently got bitten by the vintage SW bug. I told him to run away, but he insists on filling his house with old toys. Silly fella  Twisted Evil  He recently picked up an AT-ST and it has droopy chin guns. I seem to remember a thread with a fix or two for this. But I can't find it anywhere here with the search.

Help me TIG gurus.

I can't remember if the chin guns are removable on a At-St

if they are just dip them in very hot water for 30 seconds or so and then shape them to your liking - a quick dip under a cold faucet while holding them in the shape also really helps to set the shape you need .

If they aren't removable a hair dryer can be used to soften them up enough that you can reshape them to suit you as well .

how about dipping them in really hot water, to soften them. Then whilst soft and pliable, straighten them out, then quickly plunge them into really cold water to re set them?

edit:

lol! I didn't read the bit under your funny pic Jim you beat me to it bud Very Happy

I wouldn't recommend trying to replace the guns. AT ST are almost impossible to dismantle without damaging them.

Just to clarify are you saying the actual gun is "drooping" or bent in some direction? The cold water trick will work for that. If your saying the gun is loose on the vehicle and won't stay pointed up then that is another matter. If the gun is loose to the vehicle you might be able to wind some thread up around the base of it if you can pull it out of the vehicle without breaking the tabs. I don't have any vehicles where they are accessible as they have been packed in the attic for years now, but I think these guns were hard to get out without breaking the tab in some way, which is what section 8 is referring to.
