| Title really say it all. I recently found a hardcover judge dredd graphic novel and freaking loved it. I had seen judge dredd in some crossover stuff with batman back in the 90s I think it was, but his own series rocks. Got me to looking for action figures of him and looks as though only two decent ones have been made. Both are similar in that they are like current marvel universe figures. They both are 6 inch figures I think and have multiple points of articulation. Unfortunately they are very high, I can only guess because maybe a limited release? Not sure what all is out there but I am thinking I for sure want more of the comics. And yes since it will undoubtedly be mentioned, I saw both the Sylvester Stallone movie and the newer movie and liked them both. The newer one is darker and comes off closer to the comic I read. If you guys like judge dredd and have some stuff I would love to see it. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Funny you say that James he has been on mine for a while, just haven't gotten back into customizing. Think that the atst drivers head would make an almost exact match with the helmet. And that's what I was going to use anyway. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| JD is an awesome choice to get into Bryan I read 2000 AD when I was a kid and Dredd was an instant fave. In my teenage years I bought the Eagle reprints which were produced in a US format (I still have all my collection and love re-reading these). I'm a big fan of the Dark Judges, the Angel gang and Judge Anderson. Here's a recent blog post I made about 2000 AD and some of the artists for JD: http://thevintagetoyadvertiser.org/2015/02/21/comic-covers-2000-ad-judge-dredd-and-co/ I thought the original Stallone movie was a huge let down at the time but the recent one with Karl Urban was awesome I've never collected any figures and I don't really know anything about what's available. Like James I loved the Anthrax tune and still have my 12" vinyl record poster-bag with homage artwork by drummer Charlie Benante As well as the comics I also have about eight annuals (annuals for those that don't know are hardback books released every year in the UK and are mostly reprints but sometimes have original stories along with features like puzzles, info, facts, and interviews with the artists/writers) The last comic I bought was the 350th JD magazine with souvenir poster. I can't get much new stuff because of having to order from the UK. I subscribe to the 2000AD newsletters and they often give away eComics so that's as best I get these days to get new Dredd fixes. And here's a cool 1992 ad: sorry for going on, I got all excited when I saw someone posting about Dredd. Please post any goodies you get Bryan, and especially if you find some figures! _________________________________________________ Paul F,

| I live in hope that, one day, a major toy company gives us a decent Rogue Trooper action figure. |

| Paul, I will for sure post anything I get. Saw that a new figure is being released soon and some pre order stuff about it from medicom I think it was.
Thndershot not being familiar with that I had to google it to find out who rogue trooper is. Looks like a neat concept. Odd looking with the blue skin, but I guess they wanted to drive home the point of him being an android. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Hi trappedtexan, Rogue Trooper was always my personal favourite 2000ad character, I do really like Dredd a lot too. I don't know if you've seen this or not, there's a very good fan produced movie called Judge Minty, it's like a Dredd spin off story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aavS_XUITXU Does anybody remember this other Judge Dredd record released by The Finks (A.K.A. Suggs & Carl from Madness)? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Rr6nJk9Zb4 "16 Muties on a dead norm's chest, heatseaker bullett will do the rest" |

| Well, I splurged a bit and put in a pre order for this figure from Mezco.
http://www.mezcotoyz.com/one-12-collective-judge-dredd
Looks freaking fantastic and I cant wait to get it. I still want the other figures that I have seen, but they re demanding higher prices than this one and this looks to be the cream of the crop so to speak.
I was offered a huge lot of comics from someone over on RS, but I think I may pass on them for now as I am really just wanting figures at the moment.

| This is a way early post, but I have several friends making different versions of Judge dredd for me in the vintage Kenner style. I am so excited to be able to get these guys to do it that I couldn't wait to post about it. Got one doing an eagle comics version, one doing the Stallone movie version, and one doing the latest dredd movie version. I will for sure post pics (or ask these guys to since I am using a freaking iPad and posting pics is a nightmare). It will be a while before they are even finished, but just couldn't resist posting about it. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Bryan, the Mezcotoyz Dredd figure looks really cool with some nice details: Looking forward to seeing what customs you get! I got really lucky and picked up a haul of Dredd comics, books and cards, and four loose 2000AD Re-Action figures (released 1999) for an absolute bargain price Will post some pics when they arrive. _________________________________________________ Paul F,

| Paul what figures did you get? There were 6 or 8 in the whole line I think. A few I don't recognize, but for sure dredd, judge Anderson, and judge death are in the lineup. I managed to snag a carded judge dredd from Amazon of all places. It has yet to arrive, but is according to the tracking very close. The 2000 AD dredd figure looks like the same mold as the legendary heroes figure that was released. They all seem to go for major bucks so I was thrilled to find on for what I considered a bargain price. I figured I would do carded versions for my dredd stuff (with the exception of the customs of course) as the rest of my collections are all loose. I am glad you got some of them......maybe I rekindled the judge dredd collector in you. Don't blame me once you have the bug and want them all. That Mezco is an expensive figure but cheap compared to the others released before it. I am excited to have this side focus as Star Wars items are pricing out of my reach and I have for the most part lost interest in most lines other than ledy and mexican s.a bootlegs. This will give me something else to focus on now since I completed my super powers line (except the dang riddler from the super amigos) _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Can't wait to see your new Dredd stuff Paul BTW - Bryan gave me the honor of making the Eagle Comics version for him (IMO the coolest version of Dredd ) I need a beater At-St driver to get started though ... |

| James, I may have one. I will look when I get home this evening. I didn't post who was making what just in case you guys didn't want me to. To thundershot I forgot to say I watched that short clip. It was excellent. For a side project/ fan film/ whatever it was, someone put a lot of time and effort into that. Loved the ending with the sign. May have to make a custom of that sign to go with my new custom figures I am getting. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Cool. Now we know two of the customisers Is Jim (Plisnithus7) making the other? @T'shot - finally got round to watching the Judge Minty short film. Thought it was really good, nice atmosphere and music. The Finks was cool too, I like the jazz version. Thanks for sharing. _________________________________________________ Paul F,

| fantastic find my friend. These are fom the 2000 ad line, but I think the dredd and death were also released in the legendary heroes line using the same molds. Not sure which came first but to me, they look identical so it is surely the same molds. Is the dredd helmet removable? I just wonder as I dnt have them loos, but just got the 2000 ad figure carded and when looking up under the mask it doesn't appear to have paint for the eyes, but I am looking through a bubble. Curious that the dredd and death have such good articulation, but Anderson has this massively swayed waist and looks like her legs don't move. Still a decent looking figure, but more statue than action figure. Since the head moves I assume that is why the short hair, but who knows. I have seen a clear death also but not sure if it is from the legendary heroes or the 2000 ad line, but was released as a variant. I am unfamiliar with these other characters and don't know anything about them. Paul, what accessories did Anderson come with? It looks like a soda can and a metal donut thing. Very cool lot. Congrats. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Thanks Bryan, if it wasn't for you starting this thread I don't think I'd have looked at any figures online and found these cool ones To answer your question: the Dredd helmet is not removable (good thing ) and looking under the visor there are no eye details. Anderson has no leg or hip articulation and remains in her statue pose, though her arms, wrists, elbows and shoulders are nicely articulated. Her accessories are pretty strange aren't they. To me they look like a metal bowl and can of dog food But they're actually a suction trap mine (for capturing the Dark Judges when they're in gaseous spirit form), and a can of 'Boing' - a spray that expands to trap the Dark Judges when they're in human form. And of course she comes with her Lawgiver blaster which sits nicely in her boot holster. Here's a review and moc pic from Figure Realm Pic source: figurerealm.com _________________________________________________ Paul F,

| Exciting news on the customs side of things. I asked someone if they would be interested in making me a custom of one of the enemies from the Judge Dredd world and they chose to do a figure I hadn't even thought about. The large robot from the Stallone Movie that is called an ABC Warrior. I hadn't even thought about this robot, but am excited to have it added to my line up. If your not familiar with it here is some basic info for it.
http://www.jeffbots.com/judgedredd.html
Got some feelers out for another villain or two but just sent them so haven't heard back yet. Hope to get a couple of more bad guys added to the lineup.
If I haven't asked you to do a custom for me please don't be offended or have hurt feelings. I have pretty much just been sticking to guys who have threads in the tosche station here. If you might be interested in making something just shoot me a pm. I haven't posted who is making what as I want to respect the privacy of the makers unless they choose to reveal themselves. I don't think any of them would have a problem, but I haven't asked specifically so I don't want to step on any toes. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Got the first figure in. I will get pics up, and since he said he doesn't mind I can tell you, Jim made me a judge dredd based off of the new movie. It is a fantastic figure and he used a biker scout as the base and a lot of sculpey. I need to find a decent camera as my ipad camera blows. More exciting news is I have someone confirmed to make me a mean machine angel, and another making a judge Anderson. I forgot to ask if they were ok with me saying who so you just have to guess for now. As soon as I can get pics up I will. Also picked up a couple of pieces that haven't arrived yet so my dredd collection is growing rapidly. Can't wait to get a display space for these so I can have everything displayed and then pictured. _________________________________________________ Bryan
