| For me it would be Dagobah, plenty of reptiles / exotic creatures (I keep a range of snakes, lizards & other exotic pets). Tatooine would be my next choice, Banthas, Jawas, Tusken Raiders & all the weird life forms at the Mos Eisley cantina! |

| Matt, I totally skipped this question. I want to clarify are we talking post apocalyptic like from the movie the road or are we talking a zombie style walking dead? _________________________________________________ Bryan

| MIB Star Wars Pepperidge Farm cookies or C-3PO cereals to work out some post-apocalyptic munchies trades Not that I have these in my collection, damn So I'll go for the SW soundtrack double album - 12" flying vinyl discs to use as weapons or to play frisbee with in survival downtime _________________________________________________ Paul F,

| Sure wish I had a force lightsaber so it could become a flashlight. Unfortunately I can't think of a single useful vintage item except maybe a sigma mug. Could be used to drink out of and in case of emergency might be able to break it and use as a rudimentary weapon of some sort. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| A post apocalyptic bartering system would be awesome -- kinda' like the Book of Eli. I trade you these anti-bacterial hand wipes and a blanket for a new battery and perhaps a carded figure?! |

| Today's Star Wars Question of the Week: The Old and the New
What was your favorite vintage figure (3 3/4") design -- (clothing, accessories, weapons) -- and has it changed since then? Why or why not?
Discuss below!

| This seems to be about like the t-shirts or costumes or is it about what outfit the figures wore? In the costumes or t-shirt thing I didn't have any so don't have a favorite. I think if we are talking about what was the favorite that a vintage character wore I think vader just because of how awesome it looked and seemed back then. _________________________________________________ Bryan

Discuss below! When the original 12 came out when I was a kid it was C-3PO who was my fave. I hadn't even seen the film when I got him as a figure but had seen him in books and magazines. I just thought he was a really cool-looking robot. By the time Luke X-Wing Pilot figure came out and I got an X-Wing Fighter Luke became my favourite figure and still is today. I also liked Han Hoth a lot because of the hooded coat he wore - it reminded me of the parkas we had as kids in the late 70s early 80s with fur lined-hood and loads of pockets everywhere. I think a few of us thought we were Han Solo wearing those _________________________________________________ Paul F,

I loved C-3PO when my dad first introduced me to the VHS! Watched it over and over again for his dialogue. |

Ever feel like Kenner had the potential to do so many other cool figures, but instead replaced the idea with lackluster ones?
Some with limited articulation, boring color schemes or maybe even characters that appeared on screen for less than a minute and had no dialogue?
**see below
Well, now it's your chance to tell us here at TIG what Star Wars figure you were most disappointed with, why, and who you would use to replace them! ** Why?! Why!!! |

I didn't have a ton of the figures growing up, but as an adult collector I think the imperial dignitary is probably the most boring as he literally does nothing, but the one I am most disappointed with is probably Lobot. The giant girly puffed out sleeves. Come on he should have been sculpted way better. I wish they had made a slave leia so that is my choice for a replacement. She played an integral part in bringing Jabba down and after her less than female looking bespin and hoth variants an actual female figure was needed. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Agreed with the first sentence. Imperial Dig or Anakin. I wonder if the thought even crossed their mind to make a Darth Vader with removable helmet instead. That would be so cool! |

| If the line had continued it might have eventually. There are prototypes of emporer without hood so they might have eventually done a removable mask Vader but as far as I know they never did any prototyping for one. They did like these robed figures though because the hood less emporer is basically a head sculpt change with the robes being the same, also prototypes of a Luke in robes exists with sculpted robes like the Anika's and emporer and dignitary. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| I don't remember having the Imperial Dignitary, but I remember General Madine being a let down. I mean Lobot was Luke Jedi in comparison!!! _________________________________________________ SHEESH!!!!i am not raping anyones childhood!!!! - Darren P.S. There is a big lack of female characters in the original figures so my adult self would choose a Mon Mothma figure or Aunt Beru - but these are not that interesting either and I'm sure my kid self would not have bought these. Oola would have been good to go with Jabba's playset. Imperial Dignitary, Anakin, Lobot, Madine are the usual culprits for most boring figure. I'm glad they made the Rebo band but wish they'd made an original Cantina band too. _________________________________________________ Paul F,
