| My wife has a ton of vintage Star Wars figures. Can't really figure out what they are worth. She has most every 4 inch figure. Has a few 12" figures (including a Leia in an unopened box). Any leads for help is appreciated. |

| Where are you located? In Dallas there is Dallas vintage toys, but it is owned by Shawn nienast who is a known scammer. There is a newer toy store located in Arlington area I think called DFW toys. The guy seems to be a decent person. He used to be in a band (some 80's band). Those are the two biggest places around DFW, but there are several of us who live around DFW. I am south of Fort Worth. There are a few other guys around north Dallas. Of course with pics we can always try to give you an estimate of value. While your here up at the top of he vintage section is a thread to introduce yourself. Might want to hit that as it is usually easier to help someone who at least shares a little about themselves. https://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t7181-who-s-who-don-t-be-shy-introduce-yourself-here _________________________________________________ Bryan

| I was also going to mention Dallas vintage toys I talked to them about getting some items as well as selling parts of my collection. Shaun is not only the owner but a collector as well He, was real easy to talk to and got back to me really quick. According to the site they pay 70% of retail price for items.
And like Bryan said introduce yourself if you haven't already so you can get to know everyone and we can get to know you.
Hope this helps you out

| Let's not link to live auctions nor to a sellers account. If they are on eBay then the market will determine value for you, if you have something specific you desire to ask, post a pic of the item(s) and ask away. _________________________________________________ Bryan

| Hi If your wife has a ton of vintage to sell why not get involved in a few threads(you can get your post count up to 40 in no time) then you can offer them for sale on here |

| There's more than 2 things on ebay right now. What she is worried about is setting prices too high or low low. She thinks she sold one too low ($9) for a Death Star Droid (found a place that said it is worth $50 or more- *dunno*). She has a brown hair Luke that we are not sure what it is worth. She says she has nearly all of the figures from the first 2 two movies. Trying to figure out which ones are rare. Then the question comes in where the weapons seem to be selling for more than the figure- go figure. It's just not easy setting a price. |

| Welcome to TIG I edited out the eBay name as we aren't an advertising medium for sales. But, more importantly, this is a great place to get values and eventually sell. Get involved here and you'll see this is a great place to do everything. And you don't have to give us 10% (like eBay does) _________________________________________________ SHEESH!!!!i am not raping anyones childhood!!!! - Darren P.S. | Hi,
It helps if you have time on your hands to do some research and ask questions -- then you can set reasonable buy-it-now prices to ensure you don't lose out and buyer pays fair market value.
But if you are after a quick sell then auction listings will be the way to go. It's a strong market these days, so if you list clearly with good pictures -- you should do well!
Cheers, Jared. |
