As some of you may know I'm a comic book fan as well as a Star Wars collector, I also enjoy comic book movies so when one of my favorite characters gets a film I'm excited, and boy I am looking forward to seeing this I can't wait.

I am so looking forward to this. This isn't like your regular marvel movies. One key difference right away is it is rated r. The reason it can be rated r, I read about this just yesterday, is that even though Disney owns marvel and has decided to make all of their marvel movies pg-13 the movie rights to deadpool was still in the ownership of fox so they could push the boundary. Something about the filing rights or something so this is a marvel movie not being produced by Disney. That shouldn't be that big a surprise since it hasn't been publicized nearly as much as other Disney marvel films.
If you read the deadpool comics you'll know he is very violent but mixes in tons of humor and breaks the traditional comic stuff by occasionally talking to the reader. In other words in the comics h is supposed to be aware he is a comic book hero. I heard they are maintaining that in the film some so I expect it to be much like the comics and video game.
By the way if you haven't played the game but like the comics, give it a try. Not the best game in the world and some parts were really more difficult than they should have been, but still it was fun. It too like four hours to beat the whole thing so for you expert gamers I am sure it will be super easy as I am a novice to moderate gamer.

Bought my tickets for Thursday and Friday! Can't wait to see what's been 10 years in the making. Glad that Ryan Reynolds stuck it out and dedicated himself to the role and lore of the character. I believe Deadpool 2 took the slot of where Fantastic Four 2 was supposed to be (unless it's changed since the article I read).
Bryan -- I played that game! It was pretty cool for hack and slash purposes.. and the cut-scenes were funny.
For anyone interested with reading the comics.. I'd recommend Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, Deadpool & Cable, Deadpool Killustrated (in which he revisits classic stories such as Moby Dick and Tom Sawyer) and anything Deadpool "MAX"
On a collector's note.. I think New Mutants #98 (his first appearance) is nearly impossible to find in the wild now, with prices all over the place. Still, if you're a fan, I'd pick one up now if you can get it for a good price.. because it has potential to grow based off of the success of the movie.

I hate to admit this I used to have a copy of this and I'm not sure how it got knocked of my desk at home, I came back into the room to find my dog had ripped this to shreds, I was not best pleased with him for that.

That is terrible.
I bought my original copy a few years ago for $62.50 -- A few months later it was double that and I sold it toward purchasing 1st Punisher.
I ended up re-buying NM#98 for around $150 a little over a year ago now. Long story short.. that whole Punisher thing really worked out!
Daredevil Season 2 here we come!

I only have an Xbox 360 and never use the online functions. I am behind the times in gaming. Heck I just got the 360 in the last few years. Before that it was a ps2. I usually don't play games much unless I can get the disk as I don't have anyonline stuff that costs extra. Lately all my gaming has been the Lego games.

I have watched this twice now and it was funnier the second time. This is exactly the comic put on film. Such a cool movie. Hope they make a sequel and stay true to the source material.

Deadpool 2 was announced almost immediately after DP1 broke the box office. (I think it took the slot of Fantastic Four 2)
And Cable will be joining him!

Just in case anybody has some info, deadpool is being released in a marvel legends figure again coming up in a month or so. I want this figure but every freaking place I know of to order from has already sold out of preorders. They have the preorder for the full run which includes other X men themed figures, but dang it not for deadpool. If anyone knows where to order one let me know.
@"darthmatt" Not sure if you collect marvel legends, but if you have an in for this figure somewhere let me know. Feeling bummed out over not getting in on this. Maybe I can hope to find it in a store somewhere but I don't want to try to depend on that.
