I am not eligible anyway but I am gonna take a shot. 1 dead tauntaun + 1 lightsaber = safety on hoth for the night and 1 asteroid with a giant worm + 1 han solo in millennium falcon = safety in an asteroid so the odds are 4...........yeah, 4 is the number I am going with.

For those who don't know, the raffle drawing person in the video is John himself. Looks like the love child of chewbacca and han a bit doesn't he.

All thanks go to John for putting this on. Raffles around here are always fun. We don't often have a ton of them but getting a chance at a $100 item for $11 is always a fun thing.

As mentioned in the video, i have a wedding coming up and fly out to Finland for it on Monday. So it's been nuts here this past week trying to tie up all the lose ends and finish off a bunch of stuff for work before i leave.

My fiancé is Finnish but is a permanent resident here in Australia, but she's over there at the moment prepping for the wedding (which will be decidedly heavy in the star wars references).
She is also massive Star Wars fan and Carrie Fisher has always been her hugest hero forever and she was devastated when she died. This is part of what prompted me to enter, in the off chance i could score this for us to become one of the new items in the new shared/joint section of our respective star wars collections. So... YAY! :-D

Thanks heaps, and I know some may have preferred it go to a more long term active member of the forum, but i lurk a lot and will endeavour to be more visibly active now ;-)

First congrats on the win, hopefully you enjoy it once it is in hand. Second congrats on the wedding. She is also a star wars collector so sounds like a keeper. Lastly, I hope you stick around and contribute more. Its not so much that I care this went to super active or not, but more the fact that the more guys that interact and post the more fun we have on the site. Forums are all interaction based after all, so without people then its not a forum.

Congrats on the wedding. My wife couldn't care less about Star Wars. Now my oldest daughter is a HUGE fan. I taught the kid right.

Just wanted to offer congrats on the Leia blaster, and another congrats on the huge win with the lucky lady... I agree with Bryan, she's a keeper!

Well, looks like nobody answered the question!

The odds of successfully navigating an Asteroid field AND surviving the night out on Hoth can be figured out thanks to C3PO!!!

He tells us the odd of the asteroid field are 3720 to 1
He tells us R2 said Hoth's survival are 725 to 1

So multiply them together and you get 2,697,000 to 1!

I'm going to use the $11 towards financing a donation of one blaster to Steve Sansweet's Rancho Obi-Wan. Ad you guys know he was robbed of over $200k in merchandise and obviously that carries a mental scarring as well. We will donating Blaster #50

That's a very kind gesture. I am sure Steve will happily accept and hopefully he will even display it among items there.

And yes, she is definitely a keeper... at her behest, much of the wedding has Star Warsy themes and elements. She even bought me rebel alliance cufflinks to wear.

Teenage me would never have believed it but showing a girl my Star Wars collection actually helped in the process of wooing her ;-)
