| This is a thread regarding the dagobah playset, but you can see some of the stuff recommended for it, such as what type of foam to use so it may be less volatile to the plastics and what not. http://forum.rebelscum.com/showthread.php?t=1099310
This is one of hose gray areas in collecting. Die hard no repro guys will say they would rather have a hole in their playset or an empty trash compactor or whatever; others know the foam will turn to dust and I have heard some stories of it even turning into a sticky messy substance. In my honest opinion, it is whichever way you want with this. I don't condemn guys for replacing this type of stuff as we all know (or rather a reasonably intelligent collector) should know most of the foam stuff from these playsets or carriers won't survive the test of time. Thus paying high prices for "original" foam is idiotic in the first place. _________________________________________________ Bryan

Stickers were never even put on. It's a great set |

| The only form of foam that I have in the collection is from the Dagobah playset, and I was really fortunate for it to be completely intact. Not to say that it's not sticky, but it's no where near dusty, or turning into dust (haven't checked it in awhile though). Anywho, I don't think you should replace it! |

| Just wear it around in public. Work, restaurants, etc. And see what the general consensus is. |

I think I'm going to have to take a pass on that one. A mid 40's man walking around with a chewbacca bandolier is going to draw the wrong attention for sure. But I work for myself and I absolutely bring toys to work every single day. When I'm stressed and need a break I haul them out and look at them. |
